OT: SCC, what is know for the new questions to be asked of LEOs at 26th street by ASAs? ASA said officers will be asked a series of questions. I don’t remember all of them but some are as follows:
To the best of your knowledge:
- have you ever been named in civil or criminal proceedings
- have you ever been accused of excessive force, past or present
- have you ever been involved in divorce proceedings
- have you ever been arrested and, if so, did you plea guilty, found guilty or found innocent
- have you ever been considered untrustworthy in court.
Supposedly this is new and will happen in the jury room. FOP??? Will we be able to refuse to answer these ridiculous questions? If you are doing any form of proactive police work, you’re crazy. If this is true and comes to fruition, you’d have to be reckless to do anything other than show up and drive around aimlessly.

The last thing we need here in the D unit is another 4 year kid who thinks they know how to do police work when thy know nothing about REAL felony work and investigations. Please make it a requirement for detectives to have a min of 8 years on. These kids with 3-7 years on know absolutly nothing except TVBs and police work with body and incar cameras. That is useless policing.

Yea she works inside, but as the Dio, where she works her ass off and has done investigations that has solved crimes single handedly. She goes way above and beyond. With the detectives that been made recently with like 3 years on that have barely wrote paper on a shooting or made a robbery arrest, let alone investigate one, she is very fresh breath of air. Just because you are bitter don't insult others. She is a going to be a great detective and if I get her on a case I'll consider myself lucky! Congrats Sara. Very well deserved!

They are the ones who make or break police work and get dangerous people off the streets. Their decisions, actions and citizen interactions can make international news. HaHa! Not even a recruit will believe your bullshit. If she was so great, she would have made it on her own but she needs a little help because she’s special. Nobody is impressed with a district intelligence officer in the 20th district. Works hard Monday-Friday on days. What crimes is she solving while working inside and is she actually making the arrest or leaving it to one of the patrol officers who scored higher than her. It’s the 20th district for crying out loud don’t brag how tough it is to be working days in the quietest district in the city.

The problem with this is the ASAs are so incompetent some of them will not object if a defense attorney asks you one of those questions when you're on the stand. They will hang out to dry, on purpose.

As for the 26-Cal questions. The Feds ask somewhat similar questions. They DON'T ask about divorce, or accused of anything. They ask if you've been in a civil suit and what the findings were. They ask if you've been arrested and the outcome. Any SUSTAINED CR's. They also ask if you have social media and if anything on it can show a bias which would harm the case in any way. There are a few others just can't remember right now.
So, some of the questions I can understand to see if the defense can use it against you. As for the others. WTF does my divorce, an arrest either juvenile or not guilty, or ALLEGATIONS of anything have to do with shit? ALLEGATIONS should never be allowed in court.

People are getting promoted from a 13 class?? What do they know in four short years??? Nothing. The last thing we need here in the D unit is another 4 year kid who thinks they know how to do police work when thy know nothing about REAL felony work and investigations. Please make it a requirement for detectives to have a min of 8 years on. These kids with 3-7 years on know absolutly nothing except TVBs and police work with body and incar cameras. That is useless policing.

You sir are an idiot. Some of the recent people that came on this job are far more educated than some of the people who have been on the job over 20 years. Being a detective is not for everyone, even those who can pass a test. Pushing a beat car for 8-10 years teaches you nothing about detective work. So stop being bitter because you couldn't pass a test to save your life.

You are a tool bag! She is by far one of the hardest working coppers I've seen. Yea she works inside, but as the Dio, where she works her ass off and has done investigations that has solved crimes single handedly. She goes way above and beyond. With the detectives that been made recently with like 3 years on that have barely wrote paper on a shooting or made a robbery arrest, let alone investigate one, she is very fresh breath of air. Just because you are bitter don't insult others. She is a going to be a great detective and if I get her on a case I'll consider myself lucky! Congrats Sara. Very well deserved!

BK to Lt, NT merit Det, previous Sgt merit pick, TS to detective. Apparently News Affairs is the place to be to get promoted. That unit must be empty now with everyone magically getting promoted... Just makes you wonder how everyone makes off the list of merit from one small ass section in HQ

When you come from a slow district working midnights for 3 years and make dic-, yes you are a detective. Then you get your first case and oh shit- you need to write a search warrant for a phone on that CSA.
You look like a wild-eyed zebra on the plains when a lion jumps out- straight up terrified. Absolutely no clue.
Maybe it would’ve been nice to know how to type a warrant in text, or the procedure for gettting one approved BEFORE you get to the bureau of investigations???

She’s in over her head. She needs to refuse the merit promotion and let the next person in rank order have the spot.
What's sad is is that YW from 018 got promoted strictly because of who put her in, in his honor. I could not imagine why anyone would look any further than him giving his community policing sergeant a bone. This play sergeant is a walking law suit. Know your history, and this one has a little bit of everything that reflects incompetency, mental instability, manipulative direction and just plain old being evil. She actually scares me. We worked on 006 and 021 together. The chaos and garbage she brought with her still stinks to high heaven. Why do you think no African American boss in the history of CPD would do anything for her or have anything to do with her. This is not going to end well. Watch any District she ends up in will be ultimately morally destroyed. Watch how whoever's job she wants turns into all things bad. Be careful.

In response to approve comment: Lt BK is a great boss to work for, knows his shit and takes care of his troops . Worked all over the city and scored rank on every test . TS from News affairs is also a great copper. Both from 15 years back! Congrats to them!

The 005 merit pick was 2 out on the previous sgt's list and for those of you who were still in diapers when she was out on the street and working in a school that you cowards would be afraid to enter read her resume and starting studying for the next test
