- Community activist Ja'mal Green launched his campaign for mayor of Chicago Wednesday, but not without some controversy.
The 22-year-old's announcement was temporarily halted when administrators at Roosevelt University cut his mic.
They said they thought Green was only speaking on the legacy of Harold Washington and didn't endorse his announcement.
So Rahm has someone running for the following categories:
- the "fired outsider" for the angry ethnic white city workers;
- the "returning reformer" for the not as angry city workers of all stripes;
- the "nutty uncle" for black voters not to enthralled with either McCarthy or Vallas;
- the "crazy whack job" to sew up the angry-black-guy vote.
If only there was a reasonably well-spoken black woman who many un-informed people recall as a supposedly capable member of the Machine, but somehow completely miss the stink of continuing Federal investigations running in and out of her office on a near daily basis to split the black vote three ways......

Anyone but 9.5, and I do mean anyone!
I understand why Chicagoans just give up.
The game is totally rigged 7 ways to Sunday.
The conversion of removing the neccessity of party primary selection of party candidates, essentially eliminating all possible opposing parties from the election, leaving the mono party to rig the election results, is classic, dictatorship strategy.
The illusion of multiple possible choices/candidates being an actual benefit to the voting residents is the active toxin of this strategy.
The only possible, potential vulnerablity to the dictatorship is the 50% + 1 requirement to eliminate the neccessity of a 1 on 1 run off election. This is still rather weak, given that there is no requirement, whatsoever, of there being a minimum percentage of all registered voters actually casting votes to validate the election as the actual will of the citizens. Thus, any total quantity of voters actually casting votes, regardless of how meager a percentage of the whole, will suffice for the 50% + 1 tally result to determine the neccessity, or not, of a following run off election.
Thus, the hope of the incumbent being eliminated in the initial election is close to being delusional.
Since, to date, no remotely MAGA candidate has even appeared, let alone attempted to file his/her candidacy, it is pretty clear that this city is considered to be totally toxic to civilized, rational, honest American values.
We are, both city and county, politically toxic waste.
For all this areas' potential promise of successfully being the American city it may once have come close to being, the politicians have so thoroughly poisoned that potential to render it only fit for the unfit.
Perhaps in a few decades, when the civilized have completely abandoned this area and when the remaining toxic waste inhabitants have devoured each other, rational humans may return, to restore the land to it's legacy potential.
Until then, feckless shall be the rule, both of the rulers and ruled over......
How funny is it going to be when Rahm gets 49.5% of the vote and the second place finisher gets 14% of the vote in the primary and then comes back in the General and beats him 55% to 45%. All you need is to come in second place cause everyone else will vote against Rahm.

This is something to not be taken lightly. The only Real Candidates in this race are Vallas and Rahm. Dorthy Brown might be doing a "Perp Walk" before she does an acceptance speech. And Ja'Mal is also incapable of winning. However, Ja'Mal, who has Fathead Ed on Speed Dial, is capable of Mobilizing demonstrations which look good on the evening news. Also note, Ja'Mal has outside money behind his act. Anyone who thinks these kids who organize and mobilize are doing it on their own, is naive. Consider this Hogg out in Florida; does anyone really think this 17 year old kid could coordinate the logistics to have buses, food and lodging for hundreds of demonstrators, and then finance their transport on his own? Is this kid Jesus, with the fish and loaves of bread? The same can be said for Ja'Mal; does anyone think this inarticulate HoodRat could, without outside help put together the demonstrations and coordinate with the Media the way he has, on his own? Whatever the outcome of the Van Dyke trial, short of a public lynching, it will not satisfy those who seek to disrupt the "Shitty." Unless Rahm can Buy Off Ja'Mal's handlers; this kid may be Rahm's most troublesome opponent. And remember, Ja'Mal has influential "sponsors" somewhere. Because there is no shortage of community organizers in this Shitty, but how many can mobilize the Media, and the Superintendent the way Ja'Mal can? Chicago Magazine even listed him as one of the most influential young people in the Shitty. And you know Rahm reads Chicago Magazine. Baby "G:" reads it too, when it is in his dentist's office. Stay safe, and do NOTHING more than answer your calls. If the call requires thought or action, at that point call for a Merit Supervisor! Baby "G"

What did it cost you? He got booed. You know what we do actually suck at? Admitting when we do stuff wrong. Period. I have been wrong several times in my career. And because I don't wanna be like the knowitalls I've worked for and with who never admit failure...I actually just tell people "I'm sorry. I made a mistake." It hasn't hurt me once.

If any of them running had a brain in their head. (Which they don't). They would find and push for a young media friendly liberal, white male or female from the east side of the city to run for Mayor. You tell me which of the candidates would it effect?

Police Recruit Hours - Those recruited by the Chicago Police Department will have to do 50 community service hours in the district they are assigned to before they can start patrol. This will provide the opportunity for officers to build relationships with residents, businesses, and nonprofits where they will be soon patrolling.
