Streets and San Workers Killed

  • Two workers for the city of Chicago were shot dead and a third was wounded during a violent weekend that pushed the number of homicide victims in the city this year to 100, according to police.

“These are the types of incidents that keep all of us up at night,” Chicago Police superintendent Eddie Johnson said at a news conference Monday. “And I promise you, we’ll do everything that we can to bring these individuals responsible to justice.”

Darnell Simmons, a laborer for the Streets and Sanitation Department, was shot around 6:30 p.m. Sunday in the South Austin neighborhood on the West Side, police said. He was coming out of a store in the 300 block of North Central Avenue when he was hit in the chest by gunfire not intended for him, Johnson said.

The night before, another Streets and Sanitation laborer was killed in an apparently road rage incident in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side, police said.
And the media is back on "violence watch" for 2018:
  • Chicago recorded its 100th homicide this year a month later than in 2016 and 2017, but a month earlier than other recent years, according to data kept by the Tribune.

At least 454 people have been shot in Chicago this year, again lower than 2016 and 2017 but higher than 2015, 2014 and 2013, according to Tribune data.
All downtown cares about this year is the number 500.

499 dead = success. 501 dead = failure.

Neighbor works for the city, SandS, usually his crew work in the “community” neighborhoods. All the guys on his crew carry. He said when the crew are patching alley’s and “community” members gather around them, the driver gets out the truck and pulls security just in case. Ready to stop the threat(animal/“community member”) should the need arise.
Damn shame if these murders will go unsolved but lets not hold our breath.

Ha, ha, ha. Rahm Emanuel's Murder City comes back to life at the first crack of some warm days.

Hopefully, it stays warm this week so Rahm can have his city exposed in front of the Amazon people.

Were the minds of the feeble of mind just a wee bit less feeble, they would see how thoroughly pimped they be. By their own poc "leaders".

No Man will ever submit to enslavement, neither of flesh or of finance.

Thus, the feeble of mind reveal their mind state choice to be willful.

Better to get crumbs and submit, then to resist and perish....willfully choosing the mere meager quantity of living as of greater value than even the most pathetic quality.

Success to the exploiters of the feeble minded is assured....until it's not.

I am retired from the job. I was watching the news tonight and saw one of the families who lost one of their relatives who worked for the city. Everybody was grief stricken and asking why. Why aren't they calling out the right people? And do I mean the police or even the shooters? No, I am talking about the enablers, the politicians who run this city and county. They are the enablers who let the thugs pillage this city with no repercussions because of their stance giving into the corrupt Obama Justice Department, the ACLU, liberal thinkers, social justice warriors, restorative justice, and pandering for votes and enfeebling the police department the problem has exacerbated. Just once I would like to hear a grieving family call out any of these people. The rank and file of the CPD cannot solve this problem with the deck they have been dealt. Years ago when shootings, robberies, sexual assaults would occur it would be met with details, some decoy some undercover and the bad guy would be eliminated. You are not safe anywhere in this city no matter your race or social standing. Until the politicians do an about face the carnage will escalate and continue. Too bad you have exempts who are cowards and won't call out this administration, they know whats going on. Today is election day, try and make a start there.

Sorry for their loss to the grieving families, but...
They're killing innocent babies and children on a regular basis, should we be surprised?

Rahm, toni, tommy, kimmy the 50 and the rest have hundreds of millions combined how much did they put up as a reward? did toni and tommy and the rest stand up and demand an arrest and promise incarceration and would they make the phone calls to the judges they own to put these thugs in prison? Answer NOPE! They don't care they will drink the wine, eat that cheese laugh and laugh then maybe phony fake tears for the corrupt owned media! then another sad story:

Father pushes teen son out of way as gunfire erupts: 'He thought his daddy tripped'

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/breaking/ct-met-back-of-the-yards-homicide-20180319-story.html

Please this is not racist it is extremely rare in the black community for a father to be around and this man gave his life to protect his son, this man is a hero, now if his kid was a thug maybe dad thought about doing his very best God willing to turn him around! People will say "where are the police, these guns" etc.. the fake revs will come out and be astonished (fakes as usual) this was a good man! With the media refusing to report what the offenders look like, they are complaisant in this, along with googleme if he is not doing his job providing information to help citizens work with police and get these waste of lives!

May this man RIP, God bless the police! Citizens if you want a better clearance rate where now you have about an 80% chance of never being caught march on city hall, march on democratic officers boycott news media and definitely vote every elected democrat out the only change we see is more and more murder and mayhem throughout this once great city that has become the "killing fields!"

Rahm, quiet as a church mouse, one eye carefully watching the exit polls today, hoping Fioretti doesn’t upset the PrickWankers job,
the other will be sneakingly escorting Amazon folk through the fancier sides of town.
Poor ol’Jugg, the chilly weather has him hunkered.
Like the feral thug, The Right Man for the Right Time™️ is just warming up.
He doesn’t get around more than every 4-5 days to rehearse his part.
He’ll pop his head up out of the hole any day now and return to Rahm’s FakeNews Podium and toot the Crime is Down horn.

HA! Therefore we shouldn't expect much with homicide clearance rates in the teens and carjacking arrests rates in the single digits. I'll bet the parking ticket quotas are up tho.

https://www.citylab.com/equity/2018/02/the-bleeding-of-chicago/554141/

The black line shows the number of shooting victims discharged from Cook County hospitals from 1995 to 2015. The annual toll varied widely, but the red line shows a slight overall trend line upward. (Data Reporting Lab/CityLab)

In other words, the story of Chicago’s lower homicide rates during the 2000s and 2010s doesn’t seem to be intimately connected to law enforcement tactics, as city leaders and police officials often suggest.

During the years when homicide was in decline, police regularly touted new programs and legal strategies that were used to lop the head off the gangs that bloodied the streets of Chicago for generations. It was an easy sell: More community policing, hit the hotspots of drug dealing and gun trafficking, and use random stops to clear out cars of drugs and weapons. But that explanation came unglued after 2015.

The Chicago Police Department and the Mayor’s Office did not respond to requests for comment. But current Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson has cited new policing strategies and tactics as the chief reason the slayings dropped by more than 100 in 2017. “The fact that we’ve got it over 100 in terms of reduction is really room for encouragement and positive thinking going into 2018,” Johnson told the Tribune, which uses a different methodology for calculating homicides in Chicago: Their calculations bring the 2017 toll up to 670, which includes slayings on expressways (which are patrolled by state police).

....

Other first responders might be less surprised by the relationship between policing, shootings, and homicides.

“Everyone knows it’s the fire department that saves lives in Chicago,“ said one high-ranking Chicago Fire Department official who declined to be identified, “not the police.”

It’s a distinction that the city’s policymakers should heed. “It's not really the murder rate but the shootings that we ought to be looking at...

and the # of shootings is up. The number of homicides is down thanks to Navy Medics in training at Chicago trauma centers

Stop with the stolen valor Mr. Johnson.

In my case,.. I don't care either, last time I check... it's not Eurasian guys shooting up each other, so I don't care one bit... hopefully I am on lunch when they are shooting each other. Also, I seen the tide has turned; I am getting a second bachelors in computer science, I have about a year and half before I complete it-- I am gonna be a coder someplace out of state. Enjoy.
