Ed's Testicles Drop

Congratulations to Special Ed on the momentous occasion of his testicles finally descending into his scrotum:
  • Allowing a civilian oversight board to fire the police superintendent and set policy for the Chicago Police Department is “like telling a surgeon how to do his business,” Police Supt. Eddie Johnson said Monday.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel tiptoed more softly, having promised — but not delivered — civilian oversight nearly two years ago. But the mayor’s carefully-worded response still threw up a cautionary flag.

    [...]

Johnson didn’t need political interpretation. He was flat-out against the idea of creating a seven-member civilian review board that would be empowered to set policy and strategy for the police department, fire the superintendent and choose three finalists for superintendent from which the mayor could select.

“They don’t have the professional acumen to be able to develop policy and strategy for a police department,” Johnson said.

“The public should have some input on things. But I don’t think they should be developing policy and strategy for a police department. To me, that’s kind of like telling a surgeon how to do his business. We’ve been educated in what we do and there’s a reason for that. If you want it to be done correctly, you should have it done by people who are accustomed to doing that. Just to take a person from off the street and let them develop policy for a police department is just crazy to me.”
All of this after
  • his predecessor signed off on the ACLU agreement where a bunch of civilians came up with the most unwieldy form in CPD history,
  • the DOJ civilian lawyers came up with a copy-and-pasted boilerplate "consent decree" to regulate the Department,
  • the birth of COPA, an entity made up solely of civilians, cop haters, and communists (not a cop among them),
  • Kim Foxxx's re-opening numerous closed shooting cases with the sole intent of charging officers in events already deemed "justified,"
  • and the civilian Police Board, which already covers many of the duties proposed for the new bureaucracy.
Special Ed was part and parcel of most of these, or stood silently by while implemented. But the minute his position was threatened, by golly, he was right up there spouting Rahm's thoughts and objections to taking away any part of the political influence currently ruining the Department.

On a side note, we heard Rauner found his balls today also, vetoing a redundant and pointless gun shop "licensing" scheme passed in Springfield. There must be something going around.

Rahm Emanuel picked Ed Johnson as Superintendent
for these reasons...

He never passed an exam.

He intellectually disinterested.

He's morally and ethically compromised
because of his role in the Lt. Test Scandal
that Joe Ferguson whitewashed in an attempt
to make it go away so as not to cause any
political headaches for Rahm.

"Ed's Testicles Drop"

...Only part way.

Johnson is still a stooge and a bust-out.

What good is a man in his position who has
sold his honor and manly pride to a malignant
manling like Rahm Emanuel?

Comparing himself to a surgeon is like calling a civilian oversight entity a group of qualified experts. It's less like "telling a surgeon how to do his business" and more like telling a janitor where to sweep, when the janitor can't find his broom or remember how to use it. It's all fine and dandy until someone suggests having the power to replace you, huh Eddie? Fuck everyone else with all the other policies you supported or silently approved, but you can't accept yourself being the one in the crosshairs for a change. Not that anyone expected you to actually care about anyone but yourself, but you've made it quite obvious this time. Since you're against this idiotic idea, how about the members of the police department get to have you removed for ineffective leadership, lack of ability and expertise to do the job, associating with felons, defending their criminal actions, sharing your phone number and sensitive information with them, lying about and covering up for a cheating scandal on a promotional exam that got your now wife promoted, and a whole list of other nonsense? Who else has a better idea of who should lead a police department than the police? I'm guessing you'd be against that plan too. Basically, you just want to keep bending over for the mayor so he lets you keep your job.

Big f-n deal tens of thousands of guns are taken off the Sanctuary City streets every year even well before Ed arrived. The heroin highway is still open for business and business is booming judging by the number of o/d's

If this Shit Hole is a city of law and order how about a weekly number of Illegal immigrants taken off the streets and sent back home. March them in front of the cameras. Their Rahm Emanuel zones of impunity is a slap in the face and a kick in the ass to EVERY immigrant that came into this country the right way.

Ed
They (civilians) also do not have enough training, experience, and skills to investigate something as important as a police shooting resulting in death. But of course you are okay with that because the little man TELLS you to be okay. (Jump, how high). So the way I see it, your job is easy, especially when you are told what to do and when to do it by a civilian with no training. Please answer why IPRA is any different than what you are arguing against. Is it because you are told to or because it threatens your job. Oh by the way, most civilians I know would have fired you long ago after being punked out in front of CPD HQ trying to have a press conference. Or, after taking calls from police haters and taking their direction.

Who are these imbeciles who think they know everything about a police officer and that they can run the police department and make policy? These people who stand mugging in front of a camera are the blame they have spawn these criminal and instill the mind set that the police are the problem and not the black community. They never address the real problem which is how they raised their kids did they ever teach them how to conduct themselves in public, I think not. Maybe they should quit calling the police when little june bug does not want to go to school or when they want someone out of there house because it is just the baby daddy and she does not want him any more but he lives with her. Thousand of scenarios that the public does not see or hear but the police are at fault because they do not like the way the police handled the situation. The solution to this problem is let the community police themselves and make the fake priest father Pfleger the superintendent and he can control the crime. My parting shot is which Black politician will claim the golden fleece and step into unforeseen power running the show or what self proclaim political activist like Jamal Green will grad the golden fleece.

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2018/03/14/muslim-teen-watched-jihadi-videos-read-koran-for-courage-before-florida-sleepover-stabbings-cops-say.html

So many children going crazy lets look at Chiagoland where our mayor rahm has closed 8 mental health facilities putting more people at risk! i have family who are pharmacists and we had a dinner and talked the subject came up about this and it seems every time a parent is told "your child needs help" they go to the family doctor who prescribes ritalin or other similar substances without proper follow up which zombies them out!
At this point they can "focus" more and then think when they watch the social media bullshit their underdeveloped brains absorb the "fake news" taglines and they believe what they hear and decide to "take action!"

Lets look at ritalin side affects:
Common side effects of Ritalin include:

nervousness,
agitation,
anxiety,
sleep problems (insomnia),
stomach pain,
loss of appetite,
weight loss,
nausea,

then we look at this so many RX are being written for zoloft, prozac etc, they are filling so many scripts for these mind altering drugs in adults mostly women sister said "it seems like every woman is on taking these drugs!"

Saying all that to say this, when your kid "freaks out" or you as adult "go crazy" the police are called and the next thing you know police take an action to protect themselves and others, then the media, the elected match in and bastardize the police at every turn! You wonder why crime is out of control here? Why the violence and bloodshed are increasing? look no further to the democratic party here that would rather let an illegal criminal stay, and let the thugs roam than reopen mental health centers to try and stem this plague!

If we are subjected to the Police Board, COPA, or any one of the other agencies, with an unjust suspension, termination; then people we must fight back with legal action. That’s exactly what it means. Fathead Ed Is right here even though he was wrong so much in the past. Having a piece of paper doesn’t mean you have worldly or practical experience. When an adversary attacks, does one think, “what would a scholar do?” Or does one ask themself, “what would a warrior do to survive?” Moreover, is COPA likely to have, in their employment, neutral “scholars,” as you so quickly defend? Or will they be staffed by dishonest, impractical die-hard SJWs? Will this be more susceptible to political pressure? While you may be impressed by academe and titles, I think most of us are smart enough to see how bad of an idea this is. Just like having these idiots write UOF policy. Eg, “don’t faze someone in an elevated position.” What’s the alternative; Deadly force or getting killed yourself? For what? People that don’t understand life/death struggles and police fighters.

policing is inherently a political operation and there has to be some sense that the police department is firmly under the thumb of the political system or people will not trust it. nor should they.

the problem has been that the politicians are unwilling to use the tools they have to keep the PD under control. they have a lot of ways to do so such as selection of supervisory and managerial employees, but chicago has traditionally chosen hacks that are being rewarded for political loyalty.

most places the police department is well controlled by the political apparatus without making it too hard to actually police. In chicago, the PD has not had very effective political control and it has become a major problem. if people do not trust the PD, they will turn against it. And that is what you are seeing in Chicago. This is entirely the fault of the politicians for failing to step up and do their duty in controlling the PD effectively but for whatever reasons they have chosen not to do so. How you undo that is not something that can be settled by selecting a new super or signing a few meaningless consent decrees.

1. Graham v. Connor

In Graham, the Supreme Court established what has become known as the “objectively reasonable standard” when it held that “the ‘reasonableness’ of a particular use of force must be judged from the perspective of a reasonable officer on the scene, rather than with the 20/20 vision of hindsight.” When it comes to UOF cases, Graham is probably the most important, and yet following a high-profile use of force, this case is almost never mentioned — nor is it likely to be well understood — by the mainstream media.

If we could change one thing in the minds of the press, the public, and the politicians, it would likely be to give them a thorough education on Graham. It’s time for police to take back the narrative. It is imperative that police go beyond simply including Graham in Citizens Academies. It has to be articulated in press conferences, PSAs, and elsewhere.

987 people were killed in law enforcement related shootings in 2017, the majority being WHITE MALES (statista.com), in the U.S. Considering we have a population of approximately 300 million, that is a very small percentage. The liberal left media would have everyone believe that police are out shooting people like it is the winter deer hunting season in Wisconsin, so they conveniently omit those facts. To put things in perspective, the CDC reports that there over 200,000 deaths per year related to medical negligence in the U.S. - and that is only the number REPORTED by hospitals; the real number is estimated much higher when the cases that go unreported are factored in. You don't hear or see people marching or protesting or calling for independent civilian oversight of the medical profession. There are medical review boards and committees all over the country and I would bet not one admits members that do not hold or held a license to practice medicine. Same logic applies to the aspect of law enforcement. No one should be making departmental policy decisions who has no professional experience, licensing, or training. Policing is not neurosurgery however, a neurosurgeon cannot be a police officer.

with all of this going on, no competent intelligent person would want to come to Chicago and be superintendent of police. Braxton had it right when he turned down the job. The political class in this town is just plain nuts and way too much into identity politics.

Then you have the basis for considering both IF that pretzel was a sign AND just what is God saying?

3/14/2018 11:27:00 AM

Your entire post, which those who wish may slog through above, is reeking of the stench of the following ASSumptions:

1. The trustworthiness of the citizens you state as if a given. It is not. Not even close.

2. The intent of the politicians, to control the police department, you presume to be benign. This is also not a given.

3. The citizens, as a whole which you presume to be trustworthy, you also presume do not trust their police department. Also a false presumed given.

Thus, we have your posted opinion being:

1. The politicians are merely less than competent then needed to control the untrustworthy police.

2. The citizens, in vast majority distrust their own police department.

3. More effective controlling, by more competent politicians, would restore the citizens' trust in their police department.

All of your above opinion is shit.

I will leave it to the many other, trustworthy, knowlegable, experienced and wise commenters to explain, should they choose, in excruciating details, just why you know only shit and, thus, formed your opinions out of the only shit you know......which is shit.

1. Graham v.

3/14/2018 11:30:00 AM

This is your PSA.

Do you think Lori Lightfoot, a former Assistant U.S. Attorney, is unaware of Graham? Of course she is well aware of Graham. The whole bunch of these SJWs are fully aware of what we are empowered to do, but they do not care. They want it to be different.

Essentially, they want you to smile and say please and thank you to victim and offender alike, to treat everyone physically like they are a fine piece of china and mentally like they are a tender soul, to leave your gun at home while you patrol the streets, to employ verbal judo as your only weapon and to sacrifice your safety and well-being so even the most dangerous offender is never the least bit jostled.

The sooner this PSA opens your eyes, the better off you will be.

The citizens of Chicago have no one to blame but themselves, they keep electing incompetent politicians to run the city. ♠️

*********************************************************

Oh yeah, well name one "competent politician". That's an oxymoron.

3/15/2018 12:10:00 AM

The pondering has born the fruit of thoughtful and thought provoking observations:

"...In each case, the teacher and he nurse are NOT professionals. Highly
paid "phone it in" artists who have risen to their level of incompetency.

3/14/2018 08:54:00 PM"

1. The intended purpose, long held as a given, whereby we entrust our children, OUR children, to those held to be both worthy and effective at their charge, to be the caretakers of their students, has been mutated into something far from being worthy of our continued trust. Others who ponder may choose to compile and submit to posting the long list of the means, methods and motivations of the what, who, when, how and to what end concerning this mutational devolution of education.

2. The health care industry, also long presumed, as a given in it's intended purpose, to be providers of care, will be, after sincere pondering, seen to be far more mutated than the education industry. The compilation of causes I also leave to those who may choose to submit a post. I am not greedy.

3. On this subject point, one must also face and include the many who have embraced the false promise that one can be both the parent of your children, and yet be free to foist even a smittance of obligation onto another, let alone into the hands of the business motivated. This truth applies also to the many who attempt to delegate their own health to those in the business of falsely promising to "get that pesky, inconvinient whatever taken care of.. ", be that pesky thing a funny looking spot on their ass or a grumpy old uncle named, ironically, Bernie......

Of the many commonalities found within the human species, being one's own worst enemy stands out throughout history.

Perhaps, unlike the other creatures, whose entire lives are a continuous struggle to live long enough to reproduce, we humans may just have too much non essential to surviving time to play with. Amongst other, more feckless proclivities......

Ives is playing both sides.

Rauner rolled over on everything Madigan really wants.

Madigan doesn't have the votes to override Rauner's veto. He knew that going in and now the Dems can campaign using the veto against Rauner. It's for the children, you know. It's typical anti-2nd amendment BS. A win-win for both sides.

Now Rauner can say he "stood up" against Madigan and the Dems and will campaign on that.

Madigan is an excellent tactician, evil as he may be.

True he is real leader that his officers (I know a lot smaller than cpd), the officers realize he has their backs while we realize Eddie and the exempt clown club will stab us in the back and turn the knife speedily! Wow the first comment is so correct, if eddie would of got out in front of this and stood by the copper JVD as he should have, many bosses backed it up and signed off as "good shoot" think the city would of saved millions. Heck with the millions rahm could of easily restored CPD retirees health care that he viciously took away! Only "if"Eddie but then again you showed your true colors "yellow" along with the rest of the "we fold" exempt scared school girl club, think ed you would of had respect and restored respect throughout cpd you would of retired as a legend instead of retiring as "scared" not a legacy of a leader is it?

The men and women of CPD are a new generation that will do the job as they have to do it, proactive is only used in acne medication,we yes eddie we stand together are for self preservation,we know we are not supported even by our own,you get what you give eddie and you throw us to the wolfs and let families be destroyed, and officers held liable for civil cases, and let copa and other nefarious political clowns attack us and you nothing? that is not a man, nope that is a panderer who really should resign and hang your head!

God bless the police!
