Twins?

  • Two Chicago police officers were named “Officers of the Month” after helping deliver twins at a CTA train station.

Officers Lucyna Murawski and Therese Puchalski responded to a call for help at the Roosevelt Red Line station on the morning of Nov. 1.

The officers were patrolling the train station when the young mother went into labor. Both babies were delivered at the station before paramedics could take the mother to the hospital.

The officers say they were just doing their jobs.
We can think of a lot of places we wouldn't want someone to give birth and a CTA platform ranks among the top three. But the Officers, in the right place at the right time, stepped up and did what needed to be done. Again, a very good job.

Therese Puchalski has always been a dependable person. Very nice and smart. These women rose to the occasion. I’d have fainted. Great job indeed!

I think the 2 officers should get part of the delivery fee from the hospital. ♠️

Civilian here.

Officers Puchalski and Murawski sound like the type of people you want as white shirts. Now if all the merit selections were like these two, it would be a better department. Congratulations officers for a job well done!

Nice work by the 'Ski' Team.
Hopefully, some day those other two (twins) will grow up and 'pay it forward' on behalf of someone else in need, and your great efforts will again be rewarded.
The best recognition for a job well done, is from your peers.
Great job you two!
God Bless and Keep You Safe.

Anyone see their Commander presenting the award on the news? Once again, Commander Cameltoe was wearing her hair/wig/weave not in compliance with uniform standards. Seems like NOBLE members cannot comply with the GO's that they should enforce and observe.

Don't know about that, worked with her on beat 734 about 19 years ago. We did plenty of work back then, and I know she did tons more than that useless commander.
