More Trends

Don't listen to the "crime is down" mantra this year like the bosses did all last year, comparing 2017 to 2016. Look at the multi-year trends - like these (click for large versions):

A 21% increase in robberies over four years.

A 41% increase in homicides over the same four years.

A 209% increase in car-jackings? Over four years.

2016 was the aberration. The trend is four years of increasing crime.

The final tally for 2017 should be over 700 after the “death investigations” loose ends get tied up.

It's called reversion to the mean.
They're cherry picking a sweet spot and
running with it.
Mutual funds use it (pick their start years)
to make the returns on their funds look better.
i.e. leave out the 2008 crash, and their 10-yr
returns will soon look spectacular.

For car jackings look at all the political events that occur, what is in the chart between 2015 and 2016. These and many more have a common thread - Rahm and the machine. THEY are the cause for the spike in crime, they are the catalyst!

Rahm does not care about crime and it's victims in Chicago.

I am not sure who Emmanuel and the democrats are trying to convince when they say “crime is down”.

Obviously everyone already knows the truth, thus the reason everyone is leaving Illinois (namely Cook County). People can’t leave this state fast enough. That is also a trend for the last two years.

The formerly decent areas of the north side are now hunting grounds for the Animal.

Concealed Carry is a necessity if you chose to live in Chicago today.

Most people that I associate with reside in the 39th, 40th, 45th wards.

Almost all are armed up now.

I encourage them to be legit and get the permit so Foxx can’t fuck them if they blow up a protected criminal.

CRIME IS DOWN IN SHIT HOLE, SANCTUARY CITY CHICAGO? THANK GOODNESS, ALBANY PARK IS DIVERSE!

Candidate for Illinois Attorney General Robbed at Gunpoint
The Chicago Tribune ^ | January 12, 2018

A candidate running for Illinois Attorney General was robbed at gunpoint while he was taking promotional photos for his campaign Thursday afternoon in the Northwest Side ward where he’s also the Democratic committeeman, according to his campaign manager and authorities.

Aaron Goldstein, 42, and several members of his campaign team were in the middle of taking publicity shots when the robbery happened, according to Goldstein’s campaign manager. The robbery took place about 3:25 p.m. in the 4600 block of North Albany Avenue in Albany Park, when three men in their early 20s approached them, according to a law-enforcement source. One of the men flashed a handgun and demanded the camera equipment and other personal belongings from the team, according to police.

The gunman and two other men robbed Goldstein and four others of camera equipment and their cell phones before they ran away, the law enforcement source said. As of Thursday evening, no one was in custody, police said.

Police described the three suspects as between 20 and 24 years old. They did not release a detailed description of the suspects.

Campaign manager Robert Murphy, who was not with the team during the incident, said Goldstein, Democratic ward committeeman for the 33rd Ward and a resident of Albany Park, was taking promotional images for the campaign with an “in-the-neighborhood kind of” message.

Preckwinkle, Foxx, Dart PERIOD. I am purposely not throwing Eddie Johnson in there because I still believe that this nonsense is being forced down his throat by a mayor that knows this is the wrong policy direction but is more concerned about not creating any political waves for himself than he is about doing whats right to protect the law abiding people of the City of Chicago.

In "normal" areas around the globe, a rising crime rate like that would just mean job security and the hiring of more police, but with liberal politicians, you're not allowed to do your jobs and police forces are screwed!I

Complete your statement!

"Rahm don’t give a damn about crime, he’s trying to secure votes from the criminals."

We cannot have arrests and convictions because felons cannot vote and that is voter suppression!

SCC is correct here.

Maybe the answer is forcing data sets to be only valid if tied to politician's election dates and time served.

In Chicagos case, the only data sets that are valid are those lining up with rahms time in office, or a certain alder creature, or Dart, or well, you get the idea.

Done that way, theres no more cherry picking. There is also no more letting crime go wild in a third year of a term, to be able to claim crime is "down" in the fourth year, which just HAPPENS to be election season.

Every so often there appears a comment declaring the need for a united protest opposing the nefarious and devious shenanigans our political overlords are consistently and relentlessly fucking up any possibility of this city, county or state could have of being a place for living an honest, honorable, civilized life.

These calls for a public expression of well earned displeasure are made to those whose chosen professions are fundamentally ones whose purposes are to help achieve this possibility.

Though understandable reasons induce the omission of calling to the one, single group of people, namely, the citizens desiring that here be such a place, to act on this call to public expression, this group and this group alone does next to nothing to make this possibility a reality.

Many.....not a cop.....comments have expressed a pathetic plea for those who have chosen professions which could, because they historically have, restore the conditions necessary for the possibility of living an honest, honorable and civilized life here, to "keep fighting the good fight", whilst these same citizens do what amounts to diddlysquat......

All the calls to....vote republican.....don't reelect incumbents.....stop voting for democrats.....etc.....do mean shit......and just that.....shit.....

Were the citizens expressing their empty gratitudes to actually get off their oh so comfy asses and be the multitude marching in protest of these current, mealymouthed overlord swine, well.....we who sweat, bleed and struggle to hold the line might just have a chance to restore the possibility of a significantly closer to civilized society then our present, shithole city & county.

Sure, it has been the common wisdom to believe that, absurd as it is, both 1) the shitheads outnumber the "good" citizens AND that 2) the reverse is true, albeit the "good" citizens are too "polite" to raise a ruckus, or too busy working, or what the fuck ever reason they remain essentially mute.....

If this city and county are still located within the nation of America and a sufficient portion of it's residents still consider themselves to be Americans, why are they taking so much shithole country-like bullshit being shoved up deep and hard?

Protesting the deliberate degradations being implemented by those political swine and their minions isn't about supporting those dedicated to protecting civilized society, it's about being that civilized citizen who won't submit to being shit on by swine.......

I'll bet guy running for AG office begins an anti gun rant. It's the guns that make them do it, never lack of morels that were not taught at home. Blame the schools for not raising them better, oh forgot never attended high school but not his or her fault. It's that damn white man holding me down. How about a work and drug test requirement for section 8 housing and link cards. Go after companies that hire illegal and fine them heavily, that will raise wages for documented workers. Simple fixes to problems, make the lazy work and don't support the illegals.

I will throw Johnson with the rest. He has a free will and refuse to go along. So what if he loses his job over it already has pension secured. He has no balls. As PC he has a voice that will be heard, only he is afraid to use that voice. No respect for him at all a real empty shirt if there ever was one. If he had a spine he would resign and tell the public why. Who knows the truth just might set him free to pursue higher office.

OT....what's going on in 015 with the special treatment of a Sgt engaged to a PO where both are allowed to have the same start time and day off group? Same Sgt constantly leaves early and/or calls in "sick" with regularity. Or tells other Sgt's to let her girl leave early too since they ride to work together. One Sgt got jammed up already because of ducking the other half. Time to see a "boss" with stones do something about it before the entire watch gets further alienated.
