Is Leo "WHOOOOOOOOOOOO" Flair still in charge of the Illinois State Police? And is he still providing escorts to the NFL babies? Because the NFL is dead to us:
- NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell signaled last week that a change in policy regarding standing for the national anthem would be approved by team owners at the annual fall meeting next week.
But the players and their allies in the media pushed back -- hard. Now it appears that Goodell and the players union will codify a policy that will allow kneeling or any other protest during the playing of the anthem. And the league will justify it by using the NFL brand as a "platform to both raise awareness and make progress on issues of social justice and equality in this country."
In other words, a total, complete cave to the players.
Goodell has almost completely destroyed the NFL's public image. And it leads to this:
- Fans booed New Orleans Saints players who knelt before the presentation of the American flag and the singing of the national anthem Sunday at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
The boos rang down during a moment of silence for fallen NOPD officer Marcus McNeil, who was killed in the line of duty Friday.

I used to live for Sundays and ate up every program about pro football. That was years ago before it became clear that NFL teams had gone waaaayyy tribal with their chants, dances and over the top celebrations for nothing but doing your job. When offenses badly muff their opportunities they return to the sidelines to greetings that would be more appropriate for making great plays. The idea of REWARDING BAD BEHAVIOR is now everywhere but at least I can control what comes into my home with a simple click. Buh bye, NFL!

I haven’t seen any Bears kneeling. I support a team that’s supports the flag. Support the teams that stand, don’t support those that don’t. I can’t think of a clearer message to send the NFL. I will turn off Bears games the day they kneel.

No matter how pissed off I was on active duty I never disrespected our flag. To say that these protests are showing respect but raising awareness for an issue is bullshit. You (NFL players and their supporters) are directly disrespecting our country. The same country which affords you multi-millions a year, fame, respect, accolades and notoriety. So you hate the POTUS. Respect is all but dead in this country. Respect the officer, respect the flag, not the man or woman occupying the office. An old saying that holds true in the military is respect the rank, not the man. I have seen fellow injured vets with blown off limbs stand and salute when physically capable. These able-bodied and rich cry babies refuse to do so is sickening. This, by the way, isn't blind nationalism. Respecting our flag and the sacrifices greater men than muscle-bound spoiled brats wearing tights could or would ever do is simply a cohesive and bonding ritual. This ritual reaffirms your commitment to the ideals of our nation, which are pure. You can argue we've faltered at times but to link any issue with anything other than full respect to the flag means you are directly opposed to our country. The protests represent a completely different topic. The other problem is is that these athletes and their idiotic supporters are too dumb to realize this and too ignorant to care.
Addressing the issue is a moot point. We all know the truth because we see it and live it every day. BLM, ANTIFA, leftists, neo Nazis and those separatists, I forgot their names, are all the same to me; they thrive off off drama and bullshit. They need violence, segregation, hate certain races or condone racism depending on the race of the racist. I'm just so sick of all this shit. One thing is for sure, FUCK FOOTBALL.
