- A West Side woman was fatally shot while standing on the street near Ohio Street Beach early Sunday, police said.
About 5 a.m., the woman was standing with an acquaintance in the 500 block of East Ohio Street when someone shot her in the head, police said.
The woman was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Just another Saturday night/Sunday morning in Chicago.

The news is no part of the City is immune from this shit.
You all wanted a police department that is transparent, accountable and muzzled. Well now you have it. The Band-Aid approach by Rahm does nothing to change the criminalization of the entire city.
I have one suggestion. Approve felony charges, prosecute the fuckers, and put them in jail for as long as possible. To hell with the demographics. Lives are being lost because of political correctness.

The whole city of Chicago mirrors its worst neighborhoods. A criminal in the worst neighborhood expects, and gets, protection when they are being sought by the Police. The city proudly proclaims itself to be a "sanctuary city", protecting these same criminals.
A great city the liberal democrats have made for themselves. Not even safe to go outside, unless you're a wanted felon.

This incident is a problem for Tiny Dancer. Building ain't cheap. Just google 600 N Lake Shore Drive real estate. Residents - many politically connected - are furious. I don't condone the politically connected residents...I'm merely pointing out a fact that Rhambo is f'd with this one.

The W Hotel was a total loss to the Shit-Heads within
two years of being completed.
There was a lively thread about two or three years
ago about the Section 8-ers living in the North Pier
"New East Side" area.
The new HUD mandates slid in place by Sparkle-Farts

Citizen reader: When I found out she lived in Lawndale, my curiosity was piqued. But no matter, someone thought they could just shoot her, that is okay for whatever reason. That is the problem all over the city. There are no bounds because there were no boundaries in Mama's house. In sum, Rahm Emanuel is a bad Mayor. He is a bad person, pretty sure a sociopath, so he doesn't care about any of the people of this city so long as he can stay in power. Saw an interview with a young couple with a baby stroller, they said, that's it, they're moving!
Taxes raised over and over again, all to be squandered on worthless programs and ideas that no one thought would work in the first place. Not just a few dollars here and here but hundreds of millions of dollars that would have worked supporting law enforcement agencies and incarceration centers.
But too many liberal democrat voters would not be around to vote democrat. Getting re-elected is more important than the safety of the general public. Oh, and lining their own pockets, because they know this house of cards is going to come crashing down. If they're going to be a scapegoat, they're going to be a rich scapegoat on a tropical island somewhere with no extradition treaty with the United States. But they'll enjoy YOUR money.

Chicago a once great city? No, it's been and always will be a corrupt shithole for all scum!
The police department cannot possibly supply adequate protection to Chicago's communities. Chicago has huge problems with unemployment and poverty, which produce, directly or indirectly, endless waves of violent and nonviolent crime. The City should facilitate the utilization of security guards at strategic areas in all of our communities. The University of Chicago in Hyde Park stations security guards on and near the campus. Many unemployed individuals are capable of performing this service and could be trained and hired. The cost of this service can be partly offset by a significant reduction in the numerous costs associated with rampant criminal activity.
