Media Trolls "Discover" Story

And the Tribune owes the Chaplains another $50 for taking a story from the blog without attribution:
  • Citing a lack of personnel, the Cook County state's attorney's office plans to stop prosecuting certain traffic offenses, a top county official said.

Under a policy expected to take effect later this year, the state's attorney's office will not prosecute people accused of driving on licenses that have been suspended or revoked for financial reasons — such as failure to pay child support, tolls or parking tickets.

Instead, individual cities will have the option to prosecute those violations.
And then the Tribune touches on other items we've covered extensively:
  • The move comes as State's Attorney Kim Foxx, elected in November, has pushed in other ways to change how her office handles low-level, nonviolent cases. In December, she dramatically raised the bar for felony charges related to shoplifting. And this week, she said that prosecutors could recommend that judges to release nonviolent defendants charged with low-level crimes without any cash bail, pending the resolution of their cases.
All of this without properly going through the State Legislature - the only body authorized to alter criminal penalties, but the Tribune won't point out an elected democrat failing to do the job she was elected to do.

We're going to call this one an even $100 to the Chaplains.

I’m going to give the reporter the benefit of the doubt. Crepeau’s a decent writer who works the crime beat with Nickeas and has been pretty fair. If it was some other Trib reporters, then yeah - it’s totally robbed.

Kim Foxx is a visionary and forward thinking trend setter. Cook Co. can be proud and she is aaving the taxpayers a ton of money.

I give it a year when the good citizens and the elites of this town are impacted by the Foxx's decisions and ask how could this have happened. Sad to say, you assholes voted her in, so now reap what you have sowed. Oh and thanks for fucking over the rest of us.

Actually, this is kinda funny. I'll bet by the end of another murderous summer, the only taxpayers left in this shit hole will be the liberal elites.

So Kim doesn't think child support is important. How many Domestic Violence Advocates fought for this over the years and now Kim "Fux it up" once again. At this rate she will single handedly replace the legislative, executive, aw hell she might even start sitting on the bench. Oh wait there won't be a need for any of these positions because in Crook County no one goes to jail!!!!
Just pay dem(democrat)taxes! Price of soda pop doubles next month!

This is not a problem. In fact, it's exactly what Crook Co. voters want their State's Attorney to do - NOT prosecute certain......uh.....members of constituencies. That's why they voted for Foxxx.

She is handing out get-out-of-jail-free cards to her criminal friends.

Uh, dumb question: With the police not locking up as many people, Dart the Fart closing entire wings of the jail and bulldozing them into nothingness one has to ask, Ain't we saving a bunch of money already? Or is this just a political Policy? Because "too many black or brown people are in jail" as foxx has been quoted and why do my taxes still seem to be going up?

They refuse to uphold the sex offender registry (SOR) statute. Child rapists get away without revealing where they reside. They don't care about the 5 year old rape victim.Fact.

The SAO is using the high volume of cases that misdemeanor ASAs handle to justify not prosecuting driving on a suspended or revoked license but a big reason why there are so many of those cases on the call is because the SAO chooses not to take those cases to trial. Continuance after continuance is given for the defendant to "clear up" their license resulting in the huge calls. Basically, the SAO created the huge caseloads by not prosecuting the cases and is now using the bloated calls for justification for not charging the cases in the first place.
Two questions-- How can every other county in the state still manage to prosecute 6-303's? How was Anita able to prosecute these cases when she was in office as all of the reductions in staff occurred well before Foxx took over?

Yes, nothing new about progressives ignoring the laws that they don't agree with. Just selective enforcement. Maybe it is time for the legislature to make some of these minor offenses civil offenses that can be heard by hearing officers that can assess fines, just like parking tickets. No one goes to jail for traffic tickets in the first place, and I have never seen anyone in Cook County sent to prison for even multiple offenses of driving on a suspended or revoked license or no insurance or no license in the first place.

Looks like we are going to have to go back to the old police court system.
Years ago, I was in a major traffic court room. New SA was so inept, the judge asked one of the coppers to "help" prosecute the cases. PO was not a lawyer, just a good street cop. Did a great job.

The legislature enacted of these laws because that's what the people wanted. Non-compliance with these issues (child support, parking tickets, etc) resulted in these laws as a leverage tool by attacking driving privileges. Now Miss Foxx has decided that she can usurp the legislature for her own political agenda of appeasing the deadbeats. Now the deadbeats can not pay their bills and drive without a license. What's next?

Didn't she learn in school that the gateway to drugs is starting with smoking and drinking. If you are allowed to start those you will eventually do drugs? So if you don't hold people accountable for "low level crimes" they will eventually move on to high level crimes. Unless she is a product of CPS where that seems to be encouraged. Think those shooting incidents at millennium park and the beaches are isolated incident. Think again. Criminal don't get held accountable = more dead and shot across the city. But I guess that is there plan, cause Rahm and the politicians always say they want it to be the same for everyone and every community in the city. Well that is what you get for a diverse city. People shot and killed citywide. Welcome to Chicago

The CCSAO WILL NOT prosecute :

• 6-303 offenses where basis of the suspension/revocation
is due to financial responsibility, insurance compliance,
or unsatisfied judgment.

• Misdemeanor driving without a license

This is from the CCSAO presentation, allegedly effective August 1st.

This is no Prosecutor, it's a Community Activist Office.

KimWrinkle has no budget shortage for her office confines.
Criminals are voters and you don't hold down the constituency.
Laying off jail guards is a priority so her Adminstative patronage army can grow.
Dil-Dart is wiggling out, he got nobody in his corner anymore.

So the deal is to push for ANOV's (taxpayer only pay) over (deadbeat) Arrest is only for Rahm Revenue, the County will continue to gets its money from the over $240,000 homeowner and cash paying, non-EBT Link sugar drank consumer.

Stay fetal, No Arrests, No ANOV's, No Traffic and Never, Ever an ACLU ISR.

Not sure where you're going with this one. IF dude has a job, garnish his wages. Suspending his license for lack of child support is only going to make sure he pays less child support b/c the income they could have garnished is now going to get the car out of impound, pay court fees AND pay the original child support balance that could have just been garnished. DUI of course, too many movers, even unpaid tickets I get. Tolls and child support...nope, don't see it.

The ASA's caused this backlog themselves. They never do convictions, they give offenders months to clear up their license and give continuance after continuance and even after the months of continuances, they don't even give a fine. It's just a "you cleared up your license, yay, have a good day." The court / county gets zero benefit from doing these cases for months. The County doesn't even care when people drive on summary suspensions or DUI revocations. If you get a DUI or anything else involving a suspension, they also drop 99% of the charges. It's really embarrassing that the second largest county in the country, can be run so half-ass.

So Kimmy Foxx is not prosecuting minor offenses to conserve resources to crimes that have a greater impact on the public.

As was published here a few weeks ago, the CCSAO ASA declined to prosecute 6 felons with new gun charges.

Seeing as the streets are running red with blood and gun crimes are having a serious impact on the community, just what is Foxx conserving her prosecutorial resources for?

Probably the police.

I meet Frank Main at a diner party. Frank was over served, speaking freely and I must say Frank really loves the sound of his own voice. He knows the real problem that is causing all this senseless killing in Chicago. According to frank its the black caucus. Frank told me he's aware how the members of the caucus are closely associated with the street gangs. Frank went on to say how they are paid off by the gangs and how they write laws /kill bills before they are laws to protect their valued constituents. Frank went on to say he couldn't write a story on the caucus and their close relationship to chicagos gangs as he tossed back a few more drinks.
