- The story gets funnier. Staredown boy aka Lamon Reccord somehow was allowed to move the vehicle and promptly drives it to the hospital and somehow gets jedidiah and they escape the hospital. Of course all on facebook livestream. Cops with sirens chasing him,, why in the fuck wasnt he handcuffed to a gurney?
So he never even got evaluated. He just up and left the hospital after his buddy Lemon "borrowed" the car Jed was holding himself hostage in.
- I was on scene with the family. They were all talking shit about the police and trying to draw officers into an argument. They were talking to officers like they were above them as well as making racial comments about some of the whit officers s on scene and even about the black officers being traitors. And the best part is, they had the Superintendents phone number and were talking to him directly!! Nothing but ignorance and drama on display. Watch them sue the swat guys for wrecking his car when they pinned it in after he started making attempts to drive into the lake.
So it was all an act, intended to provoke some sort of response from the police. This is what we deal with day in and day out.

As a retired officer looking on what is currently transpiring with this city and with my beloved Chicago Police Department, I am saddened by the events. Former Mayor Richard M. Daley and now Mayor Ramn Emanual have destroyed the once proud police department and plunged the city into ever increasing violence and dysfunction. These mayors have used the department for their own personal political patronage playground to a level never seen since the turn of the century. It will take a complete change of administration and possibly a new generation to turn this around. The progressives are running things now, Rahm, Preckwinkle, Foxx, a host of white liberals with plenty of white guilt, the ACLU, black radicals and activists and a news media with no conscience and a liberal bent and a love of sensationalism . My God, how low things have sunk. I am glad I am no longer in the game and I feel for my brother and sister officers, those that truly want to do the right thing.I am looking at possibly the worst superintendent of police that I can recall, a political hack picked for his ability to pander and be manipulated by the mayor and of course, because he is black . The mayor does not want anyone who would stand up to him at this point or to think for himself.

They sit in CC about 3 months, take a plea to a year, got to IDOC for a day, dress in and out and are released. They do a day, but the state sells it as if a conviction and actual time served in IDOC. It's almost as if it's an understood agreement. And just makes these guys that much more bold. The repercussions of their actions are sit in CC a few moths with their boys, take bullshit parole where you can Piss dirty all you want and have to go register as a gun offender once a year for 4 years. And if you don't do that, you get slapped with an MCC and sit a few hrs until bonded. Which is another issue, as thsee scumbags are getting shipped out ASAP and then hanging around HQ all day waiting to register. They are overwhelming that registration office and outnumbering the pedophiles. Matter of time until that leads to tragedy invloving a cop/firman/civilian coming in/out of HQ.

Well, in fairness, we meant the police, not an ass-kissing, lapdog politician with a star in his pocket.
Once this guy was transported to the hospital, he's no longer a police problem. At the time, this was thought to be a credible suicide attempt and was treated as such. When was the last time CPD charged a person who attempted suicide (with a gun) with UUW? Impounded their car just because they were in it at the time of the attempt suicide? The weapon & his cel phone were recovered and inventoried, by an ET, the car relocated and the family (or whoever) was allowed to pick it up (just like anyone who's car is in an accident and relocated). Now that this is looking to be a big attention-seeking, publicity stunt, hopefully the detectives will look into it, get a warrant for the phone and charge this POS.

Finally some good news for POTUS. It's been a rough day/week/month/year (choose one).
