Be Helpful

Yesterday, we posted about a website that is hoping to identify cops by trolling media reports, social media, etc to "facilitate" complaints against the police.

Someone took the time to read the site and discovered they're accepting pictures the public has managed to acquire for their use. That same someone also suggested we could helpfully upload some pictures:

And that doesn't even begin to cover the pantheon of TV cops and detectives available for uploading. Might as well keep them busy. Links are in the post titled "Don't Pose for Cameras."

Speaking of less than competent cops...

Reliable sources say 011th District arresting officers to Lock Up personnel to DSS to WOL to intake at County to anyone who's name and/or star touched the paper should be looking at getting a hefty whack shortly. Lesson? You CANT arrest someone for a warrant that isn't theirs, assign them an alias based on Soundex results and have them detained in CPD and County custody for FOUR DAYS. Especially when the individual has a valid state ID and her criminal history via the IUU verifies she's "clear". Dumb, dumb, dumb.

Don't forget the bit part players in many of the shows! Does anyone pay attention to the extras playing officer, one each, in any of the police shows? I don't!

Be sure to add an appropriate caption identifying their location when the picture was taken was in the City of Chicago. Just try to keep the palm trees out of the pictures from CSI: Miami or CHiPs. Identify them as that guy that vaguely looks like them in 025, 010, and a few other districts.

Group of teens robbing women in Loop, near Millennium Park

"Chicago police are warning people about a group of teens who have been robbing women late in the evening near Millennium Park and in the Loop.

"In each robbery, the group of about five to eight teens has gone up to the woman or teen and hit her in the head, police said in an alert issued Friday. Victims have also been kicked.

"The robbers have stolen cellphones and backpacks containing tablets, then fled on foot.

"The recent robberies took place:

• On Sunday at 9 p.m. in the 100 block of North Michigan Avenue.

• On Sunday just after 9:10 p.m. in the 200 block of East Randolph Street.

• And on Wednesday at 10 p.m. in the first block of East Van Buren Street, just east of State Street.

"Police did not release a detailed description of the attackers, who they said include male and female teens."

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/breaking/ct-teens-robbing-women-downtown-20161021-story.html

Nothing about the multiple armed robberies on Rahm's "606 Trail," either -- group of 4-5 male Hispanics with hoodies and guns, took place between 2400 N. and 3300 N.

Parsons lab is a database clearing house on everything CPD (among a few) and so far, this site pushes the envelope in violating privacy rights, and "due process" for any potential future legal action. Can we show photos of alleged offenders and publish them? Of course not, and yes the "public employee" is different. But, this taints the water of future legal action, and creates the "painted picture" and will not result in fair trial for the unfortunates displayed.

Find a way to bring this sight down, there must be some internet / public information legal buffs out there....if not, make yourself scarce as the "stay fetal" motto applies. No Pictures at Hooters or Gibsons.....oh and yes send them massive uploads (their servers are large and state of the art), so it must be continuously massive....

OT - But I have to throw this out there. At Wrigley I watched as Dep Chief Al worked like a maestro getting streets and sans to build all kinds of lanes, boxes, and aisles with barricades at Clark & Addison for the end of the Cub's game. He must have dug deep into his kindergarten drawing books for the plan. Five minutes after the game ended it all collapsed, nearly injuring a bunch of cops and trapping a dozen or more buses in the middle of the crowd for hours. Thanks Deputy, for reaffirming my belief once and for all that goofs run this dept. Planning for the World Series should be a real joke. I'm just thankful that no cops got hurt.

OT - Early voting begins

Here's why you should ALWAYS vote "NO" on ALL Illinois judicial retention ballots:

Invariably, all judges on retention ballots are retained. This is because the low-information voter has no clue as to which judges are good or bad. Their default vote is a “YES” because they don’t want to upset the status quo and they don’t like change. They have no contact with the justice system, so in their minds a “Yes” vote keeps the big machine running. And if they’ve had no first-hand experience with robed political hacks who preside in Illinois courts they’ll be none the wiser and do their part in keeping the bad system chugging along.

The high-information voters in judicial retention votes are the coppers, lawyers and informed civilians who have to deal with the court system and know how truly bad it is. They amount to only a small group, however, and even if all of them vote “NO” against a judge, it won’t be enough to offset the stupid vote. Thus, bad judge might only score in the low 60s on a retention vote, but that’s enough to keep them on the bench (60%).

The goal, then, should be for enough voters to vote “NO” in order to push all the retention votes down to where the small group of informed voters become significant and have the power to tip a vote. Ideally, enough low-information voters would vote “NO” and push all retention votes into the low 60% level. At that point, the high-information vote “NO” would kick in and tip the vote below retention level and boot the judge…..who would then have to go out and earn a living like non-clouted lawyers.

Illinois judges are the second highest paid in the nation – even higher than NY. Many are in robes because of their political connections, not because they are smart, productive or honest. Many are incompetent and have little experience – they have no business being on the bench.

Many voters – even smart ones – become low-information voters when it comes to judicial retention ballots. How could we possibly know about all of these judges? Most people will follow the newspaper’s recommendations, which are often wrong. Even when the Tribune has actively recommended voting “NO” against a handful of really bad Cook Co judges, these judges have always gather more than 60% and stayed on the bench.

If you’ve ever been treated like dirt in Illinois courts, this is your one chance to voice your opinion.

So this election, do your part. Even if you are on the fence or somewhat like certain judges, vote “NO” on ALL retention ballots. The high-information voters will take it from there.

OT -- for illustration purposes -- two officers have to control and secure four suspects on a VERY hot armed robbery stop.

The moment a cop gave robbery suspect a 'WWE-style kick to the head, breaking his jaw, and leaving him in hospital for three days'

* Hector Medina-Pena was arrested in May 2015 for an alleged robbery
* His federal lawsuit claims Allentown Officer Joseph M. Ianetta 'performed what can only be described as a "WWE" style kick'
* Medina-Pena says he was hospitalized for a broken jaw and missing teeth
* Allentown city solicitor says Ianetta's actions were 'found to be appropriate under the circumstances'

They have a latent distrust of the

The other morning 2 shitheads came hunting to break into homes, on the 5300 block of mulligan neighbors like Barney fife noticed these savages didn't belong Cpd called and they were arrested the only problem is they were only charged with misdemeanor did the states attorney as usual refuse felony charges? Was at a neighborhood meeting with new 008 commander Penticore he promised to keep area safe maybe we could have upgraded charges? How about couple of tactical cars? Really want to show you care? We spend over 100 million in taxpayers cash for vri violence reduction initiative in the ghetto areas but we pay a lot our 10 sector west end of 008 is the size of the entire 007th district they have 5 times the police officers per area, why not vri west end of 008? Commander, Zalewski,Burke,Quinn,Madigan Lipinski? The squeaky wheel gets the grease you see suspicious people forget that "I'm not racists bullshit" call 911 and then call the aldermans office also Lipinski about time they do their jobs and increase police presence west end of 008! Here's an idea. We get all our relatives over for a party. Then pose them with our uniforms, nameplates and star numbers clearly visible. Then file them on that website. Any questions, it was all done on private as audition photos for Chicago PD and other TV series. And really do send them.

If someone catches a beef due to a false identification from this goof then they should sue. I hope she has good liability insurance.

Think I'll post the publicity photos of all the actors and actresses on Chicago PD with their names showing on their vests. Think the goofs at the site will know the difference?
