No CompStat Today

Just a general ass-chewing from the Superintendent:
  • SCC,

All bosses coming in to HQ today. No CompStat, but rather a closed door session with McCarthy and his New York crew with all Patrol Division Gold Stars and all District XO's. Looks like the "crime is down" lie is falling apart as shootings are up hundreds and homicides are up three or four dozen.

We'll let you know what we hear listening at the door.
We don't know what he expects. Shuffling the deck hasn't worked, cutting time off hasn't helped, adjusting hours and new shifts are burning people out and they're doing less with less.

Maybe cattle prods?

We need to lower our hiring standards so we can get more community people on the police department. Who knows the streets better than the gangbangers? Then we can give them triple merit promotions and that with make the criminal revruns and the news media happy all they have to do is hide them tats
See, problem solved!

Throw in the towel. Create zones of impunity. There's no money for more cops on the beat and who want's to live in a police state anyways.

Once the zones of impunity are created you stop counting the crime there and crime can be reported as being down again. That's all.

Start with the parks. Washington park, Morgan park, Maggie Daley park, Cornell park, whatever park. Zones of impunity. You're on your own if you're in that area. CPD/CFD will not respond to calls. See?!

These people don't want to be a part of our society (and who can blame some of them because our corporate run puppet government isn't working for them) so let them have it their way. Chaos. Bodies in the street etc. That's how they want to live so...

What do you expect from McBroken Windows?

He can't even stop the taggers in the city under his Broken Windows Crime Fighting imitative (that's suppose to send the message that the laws matter, that this gang tagging will not be tolerated) so why should the shootings, violence and drug sales stop?

He does a nice Harvard style marketing campaign with the fancy slogans but when it comes down to walking the talk heh..

It's El Chapo running the city.

Money talks and the politicians listen. Wave in some more criminals and give them sanctuary. Sit on your hands and let the crisis fester until the citizens are willing to accept something, anything and only then don't let that crisis created go to waste.

There is political power to be had!

All officers will be required to be painted blue when arriving for work. This will achieve several things: it would cover up those dreaded tattoos and it would make us all one race: Blue. There'd be no more unarmed black man shot by WHITE officer we'd all be BLUE officers.

You want to fix the problem? Fine. It's going to entail telling the truth, getting the law-abiding Citizens to understand the real problem, and engaging everyone in the process of putting their foot down to stop the craziness.

That means:

1) Publishing the RACE of the offender - no matter what it is. No more protected classes.

2) Offending people with the report, and being OK with that because it's the truth.

3) Arresting, prosecuting, incarcerating criminals. No plea bargains, no parole, no early release, no time off for "good behavior", no concurrent sentencing, no house arrest, no electronic monitoring - nothing. You go to jail for your crime, and you stay there until you've done 100% of the time. ALL. OF. IT.

If that means that people of color (or whatever the favorite politically correct term happens to be this week), are the vast proportion of prisoners because they committed the crime, then be OK with that.

4) Cut off welfare to the families of minors who commit criminal acts. Control your kid, or you get nothing from the Public. Be OK with the whining, marching, cajoling, and Sharptons/Jacksons/Farakahans/Fakers of the world blathering on about nothing.

5) Revamp the Welfare model such that it's provided for ONE year only, with a 5 year gap before one can reapply for it. And during that 5 year gap, you must have either started and run your own LEGAL business (and filed taxes), or worked for an employer and had payroll taxes taken out of your check. Welfare should be a way over a bad patch, not a way of life.

Part II:

6) Forensically audit ever one of those flaming hot cheeto/grape drank supply houses encased in plexiglass all over the west and south sides. If they claim to have sold 10 million bags of flaming hots, they better damn well have the invoices for them. If not, then bring them up on charges of fraud with Link cards. No more cash for EBT so the sellers can buy drugs or whatever.

7) Legalize the drugs. Prohibition didn't work in the 20's, it doesn't work now either. Legalize it, tax it. Let the gangs sell it out of store fronts. Who honestly cares? Take some of the revenue and apply it toward addiction recovery for those who want it. Allow addicts to get one shot at kicking it - after that, they're on their own.

8) If you're a gang member engaging in criminal activity - you get arrested and put in jail. I don't care if you never get the "big fish" because you're arresting all the "little fish" - eventually the big fish will run out of little fish because all the little fish will see the shark (justice system) prosecuting and incarcerating the other little fish and figure it's not worth it to do real time.

9) Raze all the abandoned/boarded up shitholes that are used as crack dens and gang HQ/storage. Send the bill to whomever abandoned the property. Eventually you'll run out of places for the roaches to hide. They'll try moving out of the neighborhood, but just stomp on them with the justice system.

10) Fix the drop out rate and misbehaving in school. If you don't graduate from HS or have a GED, and you want to drop out, then we'll treat you like the drop out that you desire to be (obviously the truly mentally retarded or brain damaged are excepted). That means: No bank/credit accounts, no renting, no leasing, no ownership of titled property, and no employment by anyone. Anyone caught employing you gets fined $100,000/day/person they employ with out a HS diploma or GED. Absolutely NO WELFARE or public assistance of any kind. No insurance. No health care.

You want to be the big, badass drop out that can handle it all on your own? Fine. You get nothing from us.

This would be a good start. Some good ole fashioned wood shampoos and introductions to the phone book up side the head wouldn't be too bad either for those schmucks that don't get the message.

OR, we can keep coddling another few generations of welfare-enabled slugs that contribute nothing to society. Personally, I prefer the former.

The "Crime is down" mantra can still be used. Just move out ALL shootings and shooting-related crimes and put them in a separate and new category like "Extraordinary Crime" or "Extraordinary Violence".

Separate the shootings to a totally different category and "Crime is down" can still be used.

"Extraordinary Violence" - because it is a "new category" would not have years of history to compare it to, so it would buy a LOT of time before "common statistics" could be compared.

That's how it could be explained out to any press and media coverage. Insufficient comparative statistics to draw any type of conclusion on shootings "going up".

Jeeezz - why aren't I the Superintendent?? That was Premium and High-Level BS I just spun out there!!!!

Excuse my french, but no one gives a f*ck anymore. And all of these over-promoted, over-indulged, inexperienced, incompetent, politically driven management failures better face facts and accept that they cannot reconcile the lack of manpower and all-time low morale combined with the ever increasing use of the police as sociopolitical scapegoats for every failed policy instituted by those seeking to keep their public office. And denying all the time in the world, canceling/restricting every holiday weekend, brow-beating, lecturing, and threatening every roll call will not change a damn thing, besides inspire those who work to do less. Policing by the book is the new norm, and that means every action taken by an officer requires a cooperative and fully participative witness/victim who initiates the event. No more "anonymous" calls, "anonymous" information, etc. Courts have already ruled that alone is not sufficient to stop people. The public has ruled our intuition and experience negligible. Instead, they want video and bystander's testimony. See how well this is working out?

Note:

Every strategy, every initiative, every administrative fart in the wind
passed off as sound management and ballyhooed as the handiwork
of a thin-skinned, vain, egotistical and evil if not flat out criminal man
who does fancy himself a Police God and the 21st Century incarnation
of Sir Robert Peel.

At least Sir Robert was a builder and innovator...
Garry McCarthy is a law enforcement Gypsy who
travels from place to place destroying Police Departments and exacting his vengeance
for not being able to fulfill his "destiny" as the next
COMPSTAT & NYPD Boy Wonder behind Bernard Kerik.

He promised Rahm that he would reduce CPD by a sizeable fraction and redefine/re-cast what
a crime actually is so the low information public would be none the wiser about how much Rahm
has stolen/is stealing from them in regard to public safety, timely Police response, and robust Police
presence.

Not only to not only deter crime but actually have a deep enough bench to actually HUNT DOWN
CRIMINALS to confront them and win by locking them away to receive their lawfully sanctioned punishment and
lawfully/justifiably destroying them without question or reservation when they forcibly resist and sending them to
their doom when they choose to put lethal force on the table.

"WAH! That old, bitter, mean and hateful Cop is scaring US!"

That's part of the problem, familiarity seems to have bred much contempt as
Police Departments have lost their hard tempered and sharp edge by the
the general squishiness of Progressive influenced society.

We fault CAPS and other such for unrealistic if not dangerous expectations
foisted on The Police.

"Let yo window down so I can TALK to y'all!"

"Nope... Besides, we can hear YOU just fine so go
ahead and speak your piece."

We who are down in the bloody shit-mud at ground level are just trying to survive.
Therefore, we ARE NOT "the problem."

Why not check in with those vicious, venal, raisin-hearted amoral

You forget one thing though, we still have a lot of workers in this department. So everything you said above is not true. Some officers will keep working because it's in their DNA and also ego. Ego is a big part of this job and will always be. I talked to an officer who went to call back, was sued in federal court, almost lost his job and then came back on patrol. He said "nothing will ever stop me from being the police". This man's ego is so big and so self serving that even after what he went through, his mentality has not changed. I see a lot of young guys who get their time due denied, then they go out and get two heads and five parkers. Hoping the boss will "give" them their own time due which they worked for maybe some other date and time. If you work in a busy district then everything I said above is true and you know it. There is a difference between what we want and what we get.

McCarthy needs to reach out to men like Sheriff Clarke in Milwaukee and together call out the culture of violent antisocial behavior in most urban centers. We need leaders to lead with honesty and vision, not spin and smokescreens. Across the country law enforcement has taken such a beating that apathy is now the norm. We need to retake the moral high ground that was sabotaged with the propaganda in Ferguson and Baltimore and aggressively call out young black men for their violent actions and a President who has condoned and profited politically from a genocide in his own community. It all comes down to Good vs Evil, and I know which side we stand for.

OT --

Demon released onto street, attacks again.

No bail for man accused of Red Line attacks

"A judge denied bail Thursday afternoon for a 24-year-old parolee accused of robbing two people and knocking one of them unconscious earlier this week near the CTA’s Red Line in the Loop.

“You are a dangerous individual,’’ said Judge Adam Bourgeois Jr. before denying bail for Demon D. Robinson, of the 2700 block of West Harrison Street.

"Robinson grinned as he was being led back into the holding cell...charged with robbery, two counts of aggravated battery and one count of attempted robbery...He was also wanted on a parole violation warrant.

"Robinson was arrested in the early morning hours of Tuesday in the 300 block of South State Street by Central District police officers assigned to a robbery mission. Officers saw him loitering in Pritzker Park after hours and found he’d matched the description of a suspect wanted for multiple robberies on the Red Line...

"He is suspected of punching [a] woman five times in the face, causing a laceration and fracture to her nose while grabbing her purse in the Red Line subway in the 200 block of South State Street early Monday

"Sunday’s incident happened in the 300 block of South State Street as Robinson allegedly punched the man in the face, hitting his jaw and knocking the man unconscious as he...removed $50 from the wallet and threw the wallet to the floor. The man was taken to Mercy Hospital with severe facial injuries including a broken right jaw...

Robinson was paroled in June for a robbery conviction, according to the Illinois Department of Corrections.

And as for you ASA's out there who boast if we (CPD) ever got our act together you'd still be employed for at least 5 yrs after we stopped working I'd sure like to put your paychecks to the test.

Nothing happens unless we make it happen. Judges, ASA's, and our own bosses are dependent upon us. Sure, our bosses could go out there and make arrests but who wants to do that after they worked so hard to get to where they're at.

Like a friend once told me. When command staff cant get there heads out of there ass and shit goes to hell. Enforcing uniform standard and general orders are the only solutions to the mayhem and chaos. That's all they have on us.

"""Nothing happens unless we make it happen. Judges, ASA's, and our own bosses are dependent upon us. Sure, our bosses could go out there and make arrests but who wants to do that after they worked so hard to get to where they're at."""

Your fucking kidding right?

Hey dickwad...it's called doing your job asshat. You are what's wrong with this department. You are the self entitled prick that stomps his feet like a whiney little two year old when you don't get what you want. In the private sector, which many of you entitled pricks never worked, YOU GET FIRED FOR INNEFICIENCY. Unfortunately in this union cock sucking town they protect the dogs while the worker gets the shaft. I wish they docked pay for being a dogass

We need to lower our hiring standards so we can get more community people on the police department. Who knows the streets better than the gangbangers? Then we can give them triple merit promotions and that with make the criminal revruns and the news media happy all they have to do is hide them tats
See, problem solved!

I thought we already did this?!

You must be a boss. I am sure you have our back and will support us 100% if anything goes wrong on the streets too.
