Nice Arrest
- Police in northwest Wisconsin arrested a suspect Wednesday afternoon in the July Fourth Chicago slaying of 7-year-old Amari Brown, police said.
Rasheed Martin, 20, was arrested at a home in Superior, Wis., about 460 miles northwest of Chicago near the Wisconsin-Minnesota border, according to authorities. A warrant for Martin's arrest, charging him with first-degree murder, was issued Friday, according to Cook County court records. He is being held in the Douglas County, Wis., jail, and awaiting extradition to Chicago.
Police believe Martin went to the 1100 block of North Harding Avenue about 11:55 p.m. on the Fourth of July and opened fire at a group of people, killing Amari and wounding a 26-year-old woman. At the time he was killed, Amari was with his father in the Humboldt Park neighborhood after spending the day at his grandmother's house for a July Fourth celebration, family said at the time.

The newspaper does not give the address of the house in Superior where he was staying. If I don't miss my guess it was some Section 8 crib that has been colonized by filth from Chicago. How can a citizen find out the address so they can express their concerns to the owner?
Good job detectives in tracking down this animal. As a society we need to draw the line somewhere. Killing a child is unacceptable. I know the dad is a piece of shit. But the victim is still a child and he can not control the type of parent he was born in to. Good job detectives. I wonder what the look on his face was when the police came to arrest him- probably priceless.

Law enforcement can not give out exact addresses. They only give a generalized description. If a bad guy is arrested then on the press release they would only say "Jimmy Smith of 2100 block of N. Cline Avenue was arrested for child pornography".

It turns out Martin was not only wanted in the windy city, he also had a warrant out for his arrest in Superior, which was issued in May.
The charges in the Northland are for retail theft in the amount of at least $1,000.

Father grew up in Duluth-Superior in the 1940's. He got out as soon as he could. When I was growing up, he told me he'd kick my ass if I even thought of moving back.

Lots of Section 8 and "social services" up there, that was a fancy two- or three-bedroom apartment he was caught at, didn't just check in for the night like a motel, but had peeps up there already to go to.
