Nose all red and sniffling when I got in tonight and the cold/damp cut through light gloves. More like early October.

Time to close those beaches.

Glad to hear no officer were shot and only had a minor injury. But why isn't this news worthy. I did see any of this in newspaper black man shots and white officers.
Hello if the officer killed this man the news would be all over it. I guess the officer life doesn't really matter

Gunman yells 'What you be about?' before shooting boy, 7

"Seven-year-old Elijah Dace was walking home from school with his brother and sister in Morgan Park Wednesday afternoon when two gunmen jumped out from an alley, yelled "What you be about?" and opened fire...

"Elijah ran but realized he had been shot, police said. The bullet had gone through his shoulder..."

"Elijah had been walking home from Shoop Elementary School, where he is a first-grader..."

Retired 10 years now. I worked in the jets' and heard gunfire multiple times on each and everyday tour.

Is there any reason to prevent RD's being obtained and writing a report listing the City of Chicago as the victim and offender as unknown along with a million other unknowns.

I know that you can still legally hunt Lake Calumet, but, aside from that, shooting within the city limits is illegal. Witness? YOU!

Undertaking that action would take the shooting statistics into the world of the reality that we know exists but is not refected by documented numbers.

Let rahm and McBozo smoke that cigar!

It would get resistance from supervisors but if everyone did it and then documented that they were not allowed to report a crime that they were witness to;That could become one big enchilada for the city.

It would also enlighten our citizens.

It would bolster our obvious need of more police.

It would be a pain in the ass for merit promotion bosses and possibly a legal liability also.

It would be a pain for you too. I mean, being held down to do paper? I know, I know; You would rather be up and open to handle another moronic domestic call. But, maybe, actually writing the proactive policing crime report, would truly reflect the "up in your face" approach you have in your crusade to rid the city of crime. Who could question that motive?

And, it could bring some fun back to the job that has become such a sad state of affairsin this Country.

Stay safe.

What was that I just saw here? "Epidemic of highway shootings?"

"Illinois State Police shut down all lanes feeding into the outbound Bishop Ford Expressway for nearly three hours early Thursday while they investigated a possible shooting...

"Troopers closed the northbound lanes of Interstate 57 after two men and a woman walked into a Chicago police station on the Far South Side and said they had been shot at around southbound I-94 at the Stony Island exit..."

Mark it up on the office pool...
