RIP Emily

  • Emily Beazley, the 12-year-old girl who talked to Taylor Swift and got to serve as a Chicago cop during a public battle with cancer died Tuesday morning.

Emily’s mother, Nadia Beasley, posted a message about the Mount Greenwood girl’s passing on her Facebook page: “My beautiful Emily got to use her angel wings. She fought hard to the end. Her last gift to me was passing peacefully.”
There is no greater tragedy than a parent having to bury their child.

Condolences to the Beazley family.

From Nadia Beazley, wife of Det. Ed Beazley on the loss of their daughter:

Yesterday, May 18th at 11:02 pm my beautiful Emily got to use her angel wings. She fought hard to the end. Her last gift to me was passing peacefully.

We have been through enough, PLEASE RESPECT OUR PRIVACY. Her services are going to be private, I've shared her for four years, please give me these last days. Family, close friends, her doctors and nurses are all that we are asking to attend. If we do not personally know you, please please do not come. At a later time we will be having a memorial for all to attend.

May God welcome her into his arms.

God bless you all. May He help carry you along in this time.

Be comforted in that you know where she was and what happened to her, and that you were able to see her, spend time with her. That is a priceless gift. Some of us are trying to get from day to day without even knowing that much about our loved ones.

To see your child suffer is something that no parent should endure, I praise the Beazley family for their strength and courage to share this challenge with the rest of us, Ed Beazley and his father are class acts. May Emily be an inspiration to the rest of us to spend some time with our kids, hug them and tell them that you love them. Cops work many jobs to provide for our families. Stay safe and say a prayer for the Beazley family. May GOD give them strength.

We are men & women who have seen unspeakable things that harden us...but when we see someone so young, strong and kind hearted leave us so early it breaks our hearts. I weep not for your passing because I truly believe you are in a better place, a place with no pain or suffering. I weep for the pain your beloved parents are feeling and knowing that nothing will make it better. I weep for your lost years, your lost youth and the joyous memories you would have given to all of us. I weep for your sister who wilI always want for you as my children want for each other. I weep because I will miss you!

i have a young daughter and this terrifies me. I never bought a green or purple bulb. Never posted on facebook, never sent money to the family and never talked about it to anyone... people tried to "shame" me for not buying a bulb etc. Listen, this family was loosing a child. do you have any clue???? it made the facebook warriors feel like a bunch of do gooders because they did this and that then posted it on facebook for praise. I can say, I am deathly terrified of what this child and family went through... i cant imagine..my most sincere and serious condolences to emilies family. I am a man that does not cry... ever. I didnt cry when my daughter was born or when my son was born... but I cried like a baby when I read her mothers posts and then hearing about emilys death.. I cant imagine any of this... I have been so sad for this family as if I lost a child of my own. Leave this family be. let them mourn. support when they need it and dont mettle in their business.

All those things were done to support the family, which they encouraged. Nobody i believe used anything for their own purpose. Everyone feels as you do. Its an unimaginable loss

RIP Emily, to the family prayers being said. The bible clearly states "absent from the body present with the lord" It happens in the "Blink of an eye" which measured is about 1/120th of a second, They needed a princess perfect girl to be an angel, we will see you again Emily!

You are as good a guy as God makes. Have no doubt. Everyone deals with things in their own way, and that doesn't make it "right" or "wrong."

F__ebook is not the judge and jury of the whole world. There will always be some goof out there behind a keyboard, and they have no business criticizing anyone at this sad time. Ignore.

Remember what they say -- it's the things you do when no one is watching that really show what you are.

Peace be upon you, my man. I'm sure all appreciate your kind and sincere thoughts. God bless, and all the best to you and your family.
