Once again, did anyone not see this coming?
- City crime spike. A dramatic increase in violence in Baltimore. Dozens of shooting and murders in the last few weeks following the riots last month.
[CBS Balitomore] reports some are concerned police are hesitant to crack down after six officers were charged in the death of Freddie Gray.
[...] ....one of 96 homicides in Baltimore this year–an undercurrent of violence that’s up almost one-third from this time last year.
37 homicides in 30 days - those are big city numbers there.

Police aren't afraid to crack down.
Criminals simply feel emboldened by the tacit support given to them by Baltimore's mayor, city council and prosecutor, as well as the U.S. Justice Dept.
It is what the mayor and city leadership wanted and asked for by their lenient policy. It is what they call unintended consequences.
It's not black on black crime is it?
To our brothers and sisters in Baltimore, keep it up, your mayor and states attorney sent you guys down the river, now let the weep in the shit storm they caused.
As you say SCC, COMPLETELY expected. Police are not stupid. If they do not have the backing of the populace to do their job, they will retreat. Baltimore is getting exactly what it deserves. Police have simply become reactive to crime. When crimes happen, the police write reports and pass the information to follow-up investigators. Proactive work has stopped. Why be indicted for doing your job.
If the police stop a black offender who is on his way to shoot someone, and the police kill him before he shoots someone, there are protests, lawsuits, and accusations of racism. If the police do not stop him and he shoots his intended black victim, no one cares or says a word. So to the "police should just do their job" crowd; tell me, what is the upside? No one enjoys being called a racist on the news and getting sued for all the assets. And that is what pro-active police work can cost you. And in this day and age they may indict the officer just for the hell of it because the court of public opinion has already convicted him.

The mayor and the DA do not care about the crime and violence in their own city. Why should anyone think the police should care?
The police have been shown what happens if they do their job, and something bad happens. They are not stupid.
I wouldnt do anything if i was a Baltimore copper either. Why would you? No one supports the police there so they shouldnt risk themselves especially after what was done to there six officers.
The police are just giving them room to destroy...... One another. This is the America you wanted. Let it burn.

This is the type of police department the liberal's want. So, I say to all people who hate the police and hate what they represent , be careful what you wish for because you might just get it. I hope the media and the politicians are proud of what they created. It's not even summer and the police have put the brakes on out of fear of being the next copper burned at the stake in a witch hunt.
The officers in Baltimore probably understand the consequences of doing active police work. Sad.

But the city can move billions to not needed projects just to satisfy contractors and friends! How many will be shot,maimed,murdered in chiraq? You know the offender was not black or otherwise the race would be unknown! In other news a 7 year old child was ambushed and shot today on south side yep all is well! Kinda like the terrorist leader in Iraq when the United States started bombing campaign when you could hear bombs exploded and he stood at podium saying "all is well" 40 degree weather child "ambushed" according to community organizer Holmes!
