#1 Again!

  • In recent years Chicago has made a dramatic leap to overcome Los Angeles as America’s gang capital with a staggering 150,000 gang members and become one of the most violent cities in the country. In fact, Chicago recorded 413 murders in 2013 alone, a shocking number, if it weren’t for the fact that it actually represented a decrease from the 532 murders in Chicago in 2012. What’s worse, according to city law enforcement agencies, 80 percent of all shootings and murders in Chicago are gang related.

Again, like most major cities in the United States, economic hardship on the municipality has led to budget cuts and less law enforcement patrolling the streets. There are barely 200 members of Chicago’s anti-gang task force. How can police possibly contend with hundreds of different gangs all operating within the city, primarily the west and south sides, with such little resources? Exacerbating the problem is that the historical hierarchy of the Chicago gangs has seemingly come undone, with various factions of former larger gangs all claiming territory, and clearly willing to shoot first at anyone unfamiliar who may be encroaching on said territory. Even a member of the street gang the Vice Lords himself told NBC news that “there is no one to control this, so it has become haywire.”
Accepting the award on behalf of Chicago, Rahm Emanuel - take a bow mayor! Gutting the police department, failing to keep up on basic equipment and hiring practices, and just all around being a prick from the word "Go," you can take pride in the last 3-plus years of mismanagement.

Heh...

Funny...
Rahm and his merry band of propeller-heads
think the answer to this problem is to "stick it in the cops ear..."

After all...
The Police are the enemy.

What needs to be done is to make CPD's presence felt -- not by the gang bangers mind you but by harassing the average joe trying to ride to work on public transit with swabbing bullshit for explosives (or so they say).

That'll shut-up the whinny little taxpayers churls.

And spending 2 million dollars for 2 electric buses. What?? Are they made of gold?? Take a bow mayor...you are pretty darn weird...You may win a 2nd round as mayor but you will never be truly liked and we know you could care less....safety to its citizens is one of the most important
challenges you have taken an oath to up-hold..Mayor fails, Citizens lose....You could care less. $350,000 for a fire, 2 mil for 2 buses, DePaul Catholic (Private University) gets 70 million for a seriously un-necessary stadium, 40-50 million for Maggie Daley Park to cover up the severely damaged under ground Garage and Water Leakage problem that Daley knew all about at the site. Heck, the Contractors knew it at the time and their Workers knew it then, know it now....what else....somewhere there must have a list of Rahm's mad spending but no list for extra Safety Protection...do the math...how can 9-10 thousand sworn Officers stop 150,000 gang bangers...they know it, we know it...its impossible to stop. Where can we get another mayor??

I seem to remember Rhambelinas "take it to the alley" comment in reference to combating gang crime. This silver spoon imposter "resident" is so out of touch he resembles our very own POTUS.

Mismanagement of the Police Department would be sufficient grounds for not being re-elected in any city in America. Mayor Emmanuel has mismanaged EVERY department in this city. He has spent tax dollars to enrich his friends and kept this city in the red. He has not done one thing to make this city a better place and he has that hateful little personality to boot.

I any normal city, this would be a slam dunk for replacing him at election time. Rahm will walk back in with his war chest untouched. What is wrong with us?

Video has emerged from Illinois of a "calibration error" that causes voting machines to switch votes from Republican to Democrat. The video, posted on YouTube, purportedly shows voting machines in the public library in Moline, IL registering votes as Democrat when the Republican is clearly the intended choice.

This department doesn't want anyone to be the POLICE. Just look at the officers they are putting on tac teams, sat teams and any other unit. Young hair gels who know nothing and are naive and gullible. Just go out and get ANOVS and contact cards and you can wear blue jeans to work. Oh yeah you can also wear your baseball hat backwards to. These kids couldn't find their ass with both hands. So many officers on this job who's talent is wasted because they don't kiss ass and know bullshit when they see it.

Gangs and Politicians in Chicago: An Unholy Alliance

LAWBREAKERS, LAWMAKERS: In some parts of Chicago, violent street gangs and pols quietly trade money and favors for mutual gain. The thugs flourish, the elected officials thrive—and you lose. A special report.

Rham was asked by the media to name or point out ONE single location in the ENTIRE city where he could 'guarantee' that there would not be any robber, thief, druggie or gang banger lurking along the way in some dark corner waiting to prey on a victim to justify the Chicago term, "Safe Passage Route."

Rham immediately differed the question to his police Superintendent Garry McCarthy.
McCarthy indicated that he would name such a location after checking his famed CompStat files and records.

The following day, through a police department spokesperson, McCarthy replied,"Sunday, watch Nik Wallenda."

You're Welcome.

Last year it cost 100 million to save 100 gang bangers lives from the over five hundred murders in 2012 my opinion it definitely wasn't worth it could have used that money for pension. How much money did it cost this year in overtime and V.R.I to keep the murder rate on pace as last years.

I purchased the excellent 2012 Chicago Crime Commission "Gang Book" that listed all the active gangs in Metro Chicago who, where, racial and ethnic history of the gangs.

This was when ex Chicago Police Chief Jody Weis was heading up the Chicago Crime Commission. Does anyone know if the CCC is still anything ? I had trouble finding a live person through their contact info.

Cops being pulled out of tax paying areas.... YES and it will continue to happen. At this point the only solution is to police off duty and drop a big slip.(Personal VRI) That sucks but it's the only way to make sure your family and friends will stay safe. Get the phone numbers of a couple coppers who live in your area and call them while you moving on any jagoffs, and get the on duty boys and girls on the way from what ever bullshit assignment they may be directed to perform between calls.

This is a plan. New York reduced crime for many reasons, but a large one was the displacement of people. Gentrification from the inside out. Chicago is tough, but time will pass. Joliet and many suburbs will see more people fleeing there. Resulting in crime in other places and not the south and west sides. Look at the number of south and west siders who have relocated out west. When one family moves the rest of the cousins soon follow.

The superintendent was asking for more money for hiring and one of your favorite south or west side aldermen said it's more important to promote minority officers. Lmao. The shit these fucking losers get away with. Let's just hand out more promotions. The white shirt qualifications now a days consists of who you know, who you blow and what geographic part of the city you can represent. We are fucked!!
