Bob Runs

  • Alderman Bob Fioretti jumped into the race for mayor of Chicago Saturday with an attack against Mayor Rahm Emanuel and the mayor's campaign fired back.

Fioretti launched his campaign with a website and a campaign video.

The two-term City Council member wasted no time criticizing current Emanuel, painting him as out of touch, unwilling to listen, and divisive, a politician of broken promises on jobs, crime, and education, and attacked his administration's policies like charging not-for-profits and churches for city water.

"But our schools are being gutted, our streets are not safer and so many are missing out on economic opportunities and jobs," Fioretti said.

The Second Ward alderman made his announcement Saturday morning before a crowd of about 100 supporters at East West University in the South Loop.
Channel 7 says former aldercreature and Machine tool Robert Shaw has filed to run and of course, Karen Commie Lewis continues to make noises from the sidelines. The anit-Emanuel forces split the protest vote three ways and Rahm slips in on the liberal, alternate-lifestyle and outright fraud vote totals.

This is why you don't just vote at the voting booth. You vote against the multinational corporations providing the campaign funds by not doing business with them. You vote every single day.

The media is not going to tell you that. THINK!

This isn't how Chicago mayoral elections work! Why is everybody talking about splitting the vote? You need multiple candidates to keep Emanuel under 50%. February 24th is the primary. If no candidate gets 50% then there is a runoff election with the top 2 vote getters in April. The more the merrier in February.

Fioretti is more liberal than the socialist mayor of NYC, de Blasio. Compared to him, Rahm looks like Ronald Reagan.

Fioretti is a liberal in the mold of O'bama, Rahm and the Commie Lewis.
Don't like any of them for Mayor all they will do is spend taxpayer money and then ask for more $$$.

Ald. Bob Fioretti indicated he's for adding more po-lice which will will make the nine-digit-midget fidget.
He also indicated that he would impose a commuter tax on those outsiders coming into Chicago to work from the burbs as one of his FIRST moves. If imposed shortly after his election would the suburbanites then refer to him as, 'Bob Fee-already?'

Ronald Reagan didn't hate retirees and city workers. RAHM DOES! Vote for Lewis or Fioretti in the primary, and one of them in the runoff. Homeowners, small business owners, city workers, parents of schoolchildren, teachers and blacks hate Rahm. He can't win.

Thanks for chiming in, Rahm......and with the correct analogy.

I will vote for anyone but Rahm, and I mean that when I say anyone. I have become a one issue voter.

Rahm won't get 51% with 2 other candidates. Then Rahm decides to raise city retirees health care costs?
There's a crisis in the making and he's about to find himself a 3rd or 4th candidate...or just flat out lose.
Fingers crossed!

Wrong. The opposite is true. If no candidate receives 50% + 1 then there will be a runoff election between the top two candidates.

Consider this, what if two candidate both get more than 50%? Ponder that one for a while.

Multiple candidates doe not guarantee Emanuel a vote total under 50%, it likely would help him. Count on this, Emanuel has been jury rigging elections in Chicago for years and also at the national level. He masterminded the last major victory in Congress by Democrats. He is a very sly dog when it comes to elections. He learned at the foot of the Master, Shortshanks, who had it in his genes how to steal an election.

Last election less than 40% of registered voters voted.
Anyone can win , need folks on the street spreading the message . If Karen Lewis supported Fioretti and a few alderman got behind him , he would be elected without a run off .

First off, Karen's not a communist just because she opposes wealthy corporations steering the direction of public legislation. She's also not a communist for wanting to protect the due process rights of public workers. Communists and Liberal Dem profiteers alike put the blame for poverty on public schools. Karen opposes both of them. The more that cops and teachers unite, the more strength we have. Give Karen a chance, SCC. She's on the side of public servants.

Everyone votes for the politicians in office because they're afraid to loose their jobs. These same politicians will fuck you at any time they feel like. They don't worry about you. Out with the old and in with the new.
You don't have to declare you party at the polls. Get a absentee ballot and vote at home.

He runs Karen (jerry) Lewis, shaw, and rahm will throw more in, he has millions and untapped millions more he will win fix the vote same way Obama got in democrats lie, cheat, steal and then we are screwed, whole they throw trillions at illegals who are coming here in droves bringing all types of illness, and straining our budgets look how rahm has thrown coppers under the bus by making healthcare unaffordable taking away an earned benefit!

I don't care how many run against him and split the anti-Rahm vote. As long as he doesn't get 50%+1 there would be a runoff between the top 2 vote getters.

The only way there will be a runoff is if another major candidate gets in the race. Without Karen Lewis it will be decide in Feb. the others running probably won't garner 10% of the vote between them.

How come Chico isn't running this time?

How about reps from the union show up at the roll calls with a hand full of voters registrations forms so the coppers who do the most bitching about the politicians can sign up to vote! The mayors not in the least bit concerned about the police and fire because the majority don't vote in either the primary's or the election itself. If you aren't a registered voter, every thing you say doesn't mean shit.
