Sure crime is down. As said many times before, the McCarthy experiment has been a complete failure. It will take 10 years to fix the CPD after this goof is launched back east.

How about counting...
...the least number of sworn officers of all ranks employed by the CPD. We are still paying taxes for a 13,000 officer department.
McCarthy, have the numbers handy as we intend to ask you about them in front of the news cameras and an audience that is not a Compost meeting.

To the rest of the news media, you just reported that the S&P Stock Index hit a record high. Well the CPD personnel index hit a new low, isn't this a headline that should be run.
Counting a police shooting makes sense in that did it not occur, it'd likely be a cop shot instead.

The jackass weekend is 12 noon Friday to 6 AM Monday. Much more realistic, produces useful figures. (Week/weekend, day/night are meaningless to people who've never held a job in their lives, but that's beside the point.)
There is a "Race Of Victim" pie chart on there. One more step to go -- put up a "Race Of Offender" chart right next to it.
Eric Holder says we're "cowards" for "not conducting an honest dialogue;" surely no one could take offense at another simple demographic illustration to help everyone grasp today's problems?

Fox news 'The Five' blasted Rahm and McLiar regarding crime stats--said Chicago has a major conspiracy afoot to under-count crime. Female commentator really let them have it. Also mentioned why no one is upset about how many blacks are shot by blacks in Chicago. Don't know if there's a link to it or not.
Chicago Magazine story was under-reported by local media but not national. Good job to the reporters for getting out what all of us knew all along.
BTW, have they reclassified the dead baby whose mother was charged with murder yet? Or is it still languishing in another category?

Got above from another thread, I retired from midway, want a vibe honest answer no overtime, full tour, cu hard to get, lots of bs created jobs, work with many cry babies who bitch bout everything, not a bad place beats the district (but then again anything beats a district) unless your on days (airport you will need 27-28 years to get bid spot on days), basically if your relatively happy where you are, have a good crew of coppers stay where you are. As a matter of fact we had 4 coppers come to airport on clout that left to go back could not take all the bs!
I am a South Side Hyde Park Chicagoan born, raised and now returned.I also lived in war torn New York City mid 1980s, early 90s. I left NYC before Mayor Guliani and NYPD led by excellent Police Chiefs Bratton and Kelly restored civilization and ended criminal mob rule.
New York City's new mayor Is a Leftist loon, but New York City demographics are much better. Bratton was reappointed NYPD chief.
But usual Ny suspects (Sharpton) are back doing what they do. Effective stop and frisk policies (we desperately need that in Chitown).
A New York City Police Sargents Association took out a full page advert in yesterday'sNY Times warning that NYC was in danger of falling back down in to the terrible David Dinkins crime plagued years.

Just saw that they have that chart, and in addition to the race information it is interesting to glean from that the number of open homicide cases - 272 homicide victims listed, 77 attackers listed (excluding PO).
Isn't lying on reports a rule 14 or 15 violation? Just saying
Say a prayer for the camera man for the show COPS. He was hit during a shootout during a robbery in progress while taping the show. He is in critical condition. The people from COPS are one of the few people with cameras that are pro-police.
The same "hey jackass" that bashes the police on social media outlets.
This guy loves talking about how violent Chicago is, yet doesn't believe police should have modern equipment because it's too "militarized" and oh-so scary.
I used to like the website, but forget that guy now. Some of the so called "militarized" equipment saved my life before.
Watching Kenny Williams speak at the rally, maybe Rahm should be worried about him as a candidate. He is really smooth.

"The disturbance broke out about 7:10 p.m. at a demonstration in the 7900 block of South Avalon Avenue...
"Several officers were struck by thrown objects and received minor injuries...Police declined to release the number of officers injured.
"Two officers were also hurt when their squad car crashed as they responded to a 10-1...Both officers hurt in the crash were taken to University of Chicago Medical Center with minor injuries.
"Charges against the eight people taken into custody are pending..."

He passed. Right now they are saying only police fired shots. I don't know what is going with that. Policeone.com said there was a shootout with over 30 rounds fired but the offender had a replica!?!?
