Hey Look - Corruption!

  • Contractors facing scrutiny in an ongoing federal investigation of Concept Schools have been paid nearly $1 million over the past three years for work at three Chicago Public Schools-funded campuses run by the Des Plaines-based charter operator, records show.

In June, the FBI raided 19 Concept Schools locations in Illinois, Indiana and Ohio, including the group’s Des Plaines headquarters. Search warrants showed they were seeking records concerning Concept’s use of the federal “E-rate” program and companies hired under that program, which helps pay for high-tech upgrades.

The agents also were looking for records regarding top Concept officials, the Chicago Sun-Times reported last month.

No one has been charged. The FBI has said only that the investigation is a “white-collar criminal matter.”
Keep digging.

History tells us you won't - Greylord, Silver Shovel, Gambat, etc. None ever went farther than scratching the surface, otherwise we'd have as many mayors in prison as we've had governors lately and the number of judges behind bars would rival City Council members by at least double. The worst secret in Illinois is you guys were told to pull the wire on Blago before it got something bigger.

But try for once.

Eric Holder is like a bloodhound. If there is any corruption, his investigators will ferret it out. With this DOJ crime does not pay.

Whoopsie!

The Feds weren't planning on finding something under THIS rock...

Just like with the CHA vouchers...
The people in the Inner Party Rolodex are the only ones allowed to make money in Chicago.

Everybody else gets skinned alive with punitive taxes, fees and fines.

Rahm's punishment for not being like him...

---so he could stand on his front steps talking and talking and TALKING pure s__t until it was getting dark and the TV crews just gave up, shutting off their lights and rolling up their cables while he kept TALKING.

Finest moment of recent years was when his "detail" got in their cars around that time and drove away -- never to return. "Power flows from the barrel of a gun," and all his jacket-bulging, lookin-all-around, wire-in-ear retinue just looked at each other in disgust and blew the scene.

Classic "Cleckley psychopath."

The FBI is a political tool of the administration.
Much like the IRS, their investigations are vectored and limited to achieve the desired result and nothing more.
The Blagojevich investigation, had it not been terminated, would have changed the political landscape not only in Illinois but nation wide.

Come on. You know it was all in the name of the children.
Don't you listen to Rahm? It's all for the children.

Ahhh Yes!

We expounded on Dr. Hervéy Cleckley's "The Mask of Sanity" a few years back...

Rahm Emanuel is writ very large here...

There are good reasons his early life and grammar school/highschool records are hidden from public scrutiny.

Some of us still want to see that Master's thesis he cut for that N.U. degree in communications...

It's the Chicago way to push these fools over the transom on top of everybody with no way to vet and verify them.

Concept charter schools, Inc and the Chgo Math & Science Academy is very, very tight with Speaker Mike Madigan.
They're a Turkish-run school firm founded by Sufi Muslim imam Fethullah Gulen. Hold some pretty tough views toward Christians, Jews, women and prolly others.
Gulen has sent Speaker Madigan to Turkey at least four times. Madigan's kid does PR work for CMSA & Concept.
Dig deeper, boys.
Follow the money!

This is all gonna sound weird but it is entirely true. Concept Schools are a branch of a Turkish cult known as the Gullen Movement. This is mentioned in the article. These schools are a fundraising arm for Gullen. They are self dealing, with dummy corporations relaying funds back to Turkey. Also H1B immigration fraud as the teachers are imported over time.

Like getting that little pr!ck Daley.

I was at HQ the day Blago got indicted.
There was a recruit graduation.
Daley came in a bit late and was ashen. He was all frazzled, made a very brief speech and left quickly.

Well, you could only hope that when and if the appeals are successful and Blago gets out he will tell all, but don't hold your breath. I can't recall when one other connected person who served time did a tell-all. Certainly not George Ryan or any other former governor, judge or alderman. It seems that if they keep their mouth shut they are taken care of when they get out.

One name which keeps coming up is the Niagara Foundation and it's reach isn't only to charter schools. One CPS principal, Prosser's Kenneth Hunter, is being forced into burning his unused sick days on a 'forced' LOA and will retire once school starts because of his association with Niagara, Gulen Schools, Hizmet, etc.

Here's some links to Ken Hunter, Global Vision Foundations, Hizmet, and Pacifica Insititute:

BTW : Ken Hunter, while working as Prosser's principal, had Michael Klonsky working with him. Hunter hired Klonsky as a boys freshman basketball coach, but, that was just a reason to get him in the building without drawing suspicion. Klonsky and Hunter are both anti-Rahm and David Vitale (BOE president) and have been seen numerous times plotting their strategy and schemes.

Here's some background (below) on Klonsky, who claims he was at Prosser to just coach basketball. But, Klonsky was often seen meeting in Hunter's office with other members of Hunter's circle throughout the school day on many occasions.

The Gulen schools are focused on charter schools, but, Prosser's Hunter got involved with them for some reason

Here's a link to a story about Gulen schools and the Hizmet movement, pay special attention to the comments under the article:

Hunter was thought to be on LOA because of this Survey Scandal:

Speaking of corruption... Editors of Pension & Investments (owned by Crain's) went after Shortshanks in an editorial in this week's issue.

Shareholders deserve directors' attention to duties
By: Pensions & Investments
Published: August 18, 2014

Institutional shareholders should demand Coca-Cola Co. ask Richard M. Daley to step down as director or explain why, in the face of a personal challenge, he should stay as a member of the company's board.

Shareholders should expect directors be capable of representing their interests on the board to the fullest extent required under their corporate fiduciary duty.

Mr. Daley is a high-profile director because of his extensive political skill. But Mr. Daley — the longest serving mayor in Chicago's history who declined to seek re-election in 2011, when he joined Coca-Cola's board — might not be in a position to fulfill that responsibility to shareholders.

Shareholders ought to examine Mr. Daley's ability to serve as a director because he was excused on medical grounds July 23 from testifying in court about a financial matter that arose during his tenure as mayor.

Mr. Daley — also executive chairman of Tur Partners LCC and Daley & Tang Partners LLC, both private equity firms, and of counsel of the Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP law firm — is correct to place priorities on his health and privacy. But if a medical issue renders him unable to testify, shareholders should question his ability to fully discharge his tasks at Coca-Cola.

Mr. Daley and Coca-Cola media representatives didn't respond to requests for comment.

Mr. Daley, paid $250,951 as a director in 2013, was the only director who did not attend Coca-Cola's annual meeting April 23. “The company does not have a policy about directors' attendance at the annual meeting of shareowners, but directors are encouraged to attend,” its proxy statement states.

In this era of increasing communication between shareholders and the board, institutional investors ought to express their concerns to Coca-Cola and Mr. Daley, and he should reassure shareholders he can perform his duties.
